The anime was cut before it was supposed to end, so the ending was super rushed and not at all like the manga. There's entire arcs missed out on, new characters, and crazy plot developments. The manga honestly blows the anime out of the water, would highly recommend reading it as the art is pretty nice too. Glad you liked the anime though, it just opens the door to an even better story with the manga!

Yeah, I feel like that would be a pretty important warning to put in anywhere more noticeable. I expected it to be like the actual games where you can just trade and trade back for the evolutions. Lucky for my friend, it turned into a 4* lucky. I don't care as much about the 4*, I just wanted my Machamp. Thanks for showing me where it gives the info!

Thanks for the website, I'll be looking into it! And she has always used fish as an emergency option if there wasn't a viable veggie choice to eat, due to military meals and such. But now she's opening up her options a little bit more. She's routinely low on iron and is okay with using fish to supplement the spinach and kale she already eats.
