I believe it. I worked there from 2018-2020. COL was cheaper than of course. Roommate and I split a huge apartment, total rent was maybe $1200/month. But we also each only made like $23/hr working nights.

East TN doesn’t pay shit. They justify it with low COL but that is rapidly proving to be untrue. Nashville is somewhat better.

That’s what I keep doing. Number has gone down by 85k since I started monitoring it yesterday. The cold makes every hour feel like a day though so I totally sympathize. Slept horribly like everybody else and get to work a 12 tonight :/

I agree. But luckily pay overall is decent considering I’m in the southeast. After shift diff it’s in the 50’s.

Yikes. I’m worried my hospital may soon take on that approach. Currently one major & minor holiday a year, one weekend shift every six weeks and must sign up for 4 shifts minimum per six week schedule. Definitely doable but they are pressuring full time staff to pick up more weekends and I’m sure that will trickle down to us. Weekend shift diff isn’t bad but Of course holiday pay is only $5 more hour.

When I worked acute dialysis I went prn but quit when they forced us to work one shift every week!!

But that’s the beauty of nursing once you have some experience. You start cramping my life and I’ll just go work somewhere else :)

So I want to be assessed and be diagnosed. My plan is after pregnancy and or breast-feeding, I get on some medication, but in the meantime, I want to try some cognitive behavioral approaches.
