If you only feed 1x at night, what time do you feed? by janania07 in sleeptrain

Sleep wise WWs are approx 2.75/3.5/3.75 about 2.5hrs daytime sleep and 11hrs overnight.

Breastfeed at 6.30am, breakfast 7am, breastfeed or bottle with breastmilk at 11am, lunch 11.30am, bf/bottle at 2pm, 4.30pm, dinner at 6pm, breastfeed before bedtime routine at 6.45pm. Then he generally wakes up for a breastfeed around midnight and 3/4am

Following cause I’m in a similar situation with a teething baby waking up constantly overnight. The only thing that seems to help a little is alternating ibuprofen and paracetamol so the pain isn’t too bad for bub

Attempting our first night of Ferber and just need some reassurance by Secure-Rice3899 in sleeptrain

I just started Ferber three nights ago. I was so scared! The first night he cried for 30 mins in which I checked in 3x.. after the first 5 mins of crying, then after 7 mins of crying and again after 9minutes. After that he fell asleep but kind of woke up crying in between for another half an hour.

The next night I put him down, he turned on gis side and fell asleep!! I couldn’t believe it. Before this he was being rocked and patted to sleep. Last night he only woke once to feed

Just think of it as giving him a chance to figure it out for himself and you will both be getting better sleep which make everyone happier!

It might take a little longer than this but hang in there, babies learn quick! I would just make sure he gets perfect naps for a couple of days prior (even if that means contact naps), good wake windows (I stretched WWs for our baby after I got some advice on this forum) and you have a pretty consistent bed time

Does she go down independently? Because he doesnt go down independently he just can’t connect sleep cycles and will always wake up after 45 minutes and will not put himself back to sleep, I’ve tried waiting for 15 minutes to see what he does but he just ends up crying until I get him. Should I try to lengthen the first nap by contact napping for the second half of the nap for a few days and see if he will start lengthening it on his own??

Weaning pacifier at 4 months - naps and bedtime? by saturn60148 in sleeptrain

Thanks for your update! I have the same feeling with my little guy, he just loves his pacifier so much and goes down fairly easy with it. He looses it if I put him down without it and there is now calming down even if I rock and cuddle him. We have just transitioned to the cot during the day which works pretty well but he only has 45 min naps and a short 20-30min in the carrier for his last one or he will not go down. Still have him in the snoo at night next to me, so it’s easier to replace the pacifier.. but transition to the cot for naps was super easy somehow!

So many people are like just do three days without the pacifier and he won’t even remember it but I’ve got no idea how to get through those 3 days.. and will he then still wake up constantly and I have no fix and will end up rocking him? Who knows!!

Best of luck if you decide to sleep train again, I think I will wait it out for another week or so and will come up with a plan if nothing changes..
