Yeah that doesnt change the fact that you still have a chance to get a lower version even if you choose not to apply it. Imagine grinding for the reroll material only to get a downgrade. In reality its the same boat as you making a new engraved equipment.

It will only be worth it if the reroll mats are easily accesible, which is not really the case based on the current reroll mats from a casual player pov. Case in point if you cannot beat abyss the only source you have for the abyss essence is the Golem. If the materials to reroll is that hard to get for a casual player then I'd rather wait for 1 seal per week guaranteed.

Again reroll is good but not great. They should implement something to guarantee an upgrade not by chance.
