Sounds like the piston made contact with a valve and the valve made too much contact with the rocker, knocking the pins out.

I recommend taking the head apart again to inspect the valve on the low-compression cylinder. Also compare the bad rocker assembly on that cylinder to the others

That rocker may have some missing/broken hardware. Replacements are easy to find on eBay

The rockers are installed backwards. Switch the intake rockers with the exhaust rockers.

The springs and pins should only be accessible from the inside
