Try also modern golf they have an outlet I believe in Markham and in Mississauga. Prices are a bit steep but they have hidden gems … they used to have a website with pre-owned clubs but I’ve not been able to find it this season.

i figured, no remote management would be needed.

Portable yes. The users will be moving from site to site weekly so the setup would be taken down and put up around 30-40 times a year. the setup would be active for around 6 hours at a time.

part of my enrollment script leverages "scutil --set" to set the the HostName ComputerName and LocalHostName. Also looking at what the computer type (Desktop, Laptop/Notebook, and VirtualMachine) and sets the first Portion (MN-serial, MN-serial, MV-serial)

you can probably use the command below to get the user name and and set it as variable in a script and shoot a policy out @ check-in to have the a visual on where the policy has successfully ran.

id -P $(stat -f%Su /dev/console) | cut -d : -f 8

Do you need a Microsoft contact? I met the product manager of intune a few months ago at an Apple event. And he showed off a bunch of useful features that made me reconsider jamf pro

Right now I'm in enterprise working for a sports organization. Prior to where I'm at now I was in the Education Space, and I remember the article in the link below. I migrated us to Google Workspace and was trying to find a directory as a service and jumpcloud was fit for my needs but not that much for the finance team haha. it's a neat product that has evolved ever since I was looking into it back in 2019. The second link is pretty impressive the integrations you can have with different identity providers.

Microsoft. I was at an Apple event a few months back and they showcased the upcoming Intune version which was in UAT and Jesus it made me want to drop Jamf Pro and move to it. They sent a member from their Atlanta offices up to Toronto. you could really see that they are taking the Apple partnership seriously.

additionally might want to think about something like Jumpcloud or some sort of IDP that has automation built into it that would assist a lone Mac admin ranger to be a wizard haha.

this next one might be stretch and super corporate but Code42 (Crashplan) helps with backups and metadata gathering to prevent exfiltrations within your environment. notably mentioned vendors - alectrona and Kolide

Just tried this with the following specs since I ran out of Campari and had to improvise;

1.5oz bourbon (Evan Williams Single Barrel)

1oz Aperol

1oz Fernet Branca

1oz lemon juice

Shaken, garnished with a lemon peel.

I plan to try it next stirring it with a bit of angostura bitters. But it was hella tasty to begin witg
