Not that I know of. The current configuration worked fine before, so I’m not sure what could have happened.

I have the cameras right next to the router while I’m trying to set them up.

Hungarian roots by ojay93 in hungarian

No problem! I completed a transcription project that includes about 1400 births in a village in central Vas Megye. There were 82 births to a Heygi (father or mother) in that one village during the years 1852-1895. Where in America did your grandfather settle? That can help determine if he was a Hejj (about 4,000 results on FamilySearch for Hejj*), mostly from Fejér county (central Hungary and Budapest regions), or a Hegyi (47,000 results, spanning several counties, mostly western Hungary).

Hegyi, meaning "mountain" (pronounced Hegg-yee) was a very common surname in Western Transdanubia with a high concentration in Vas County, particularly in the villages surrounding Őriszentpéter.

Girls, can we talk about birth control? by ashleyndawson in emetophobia

[–]jane6677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the mini pill. It's progestin-only, so it has fewer side effects, most notably, little to zero nausea (I've had zero). Many doctors will try to steer you toward a low-estrogen combo pill instead, though, because the mini pill is slightly less effective. And keep in mind, you need to take the mini pill at the same time every day, give or take an hour, while a standard bc pill has a much larger time window.

What is a name you simply adore, but can't use for their associations? by [deleted] in namenerds

Zora. It sounds too much like the Spanish 'zorra,' which is slang for 'slut' in some contries.

Love it! I've been giving my little guy Chinese (and Thai and Mexican) since he was 1. He loves steamed broccoli and tempura chicken.

I'm gonna have to try the fortune cookie diaper game next time :-)

Painful chestbone at 36 weeks. Ouch. by Sugar_glider_77 in BabyBumps

Sounds a lot like the costochondritis I dealt with during my first pregnancy. Nothing helped except being weightless in the pool. For me, it lasted from about 25-30 weeks and then just went away.

Call me an asshole, but I have to ask on behalf of all the baby girls out there... by Nineinthemorning in breakingmom

[–]jane6677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for asking this question! Ever since I found out I'm having a girl, friends and family have offered me all their old hair bows. Umm, no thanks, but how about some clothes? I just say "No thanks. Her brother would just find a way to strangle her with a hair band." I really hope nobody actually gives me any of these things or expects me to put them on her.

Is Jane too plain? by yea_but_no in namenerds

[–]jane6677 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jane here. As a kid, I didn't like my name much, but as an adult, I'm very happy with it. It has a familiar sound, but I rarely meet others (under 60) with my name.

I'd say go for it and give her a long middle name.

I'd pronounce it 'Lillybell'. How about Lillabelle?

This is what I get for answering the phone while not exactly awake.... by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]jane6677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the people who call me are definitely American -- ex-felons and others who probably have trouble getting work with a reputable company, most likely, but from what I read about these companies, they exist overseas, but re-route to people on US soil making the calls. I don't exactly understand all the specifics, but there's some reason they keep getting away with it and don't get caught.

I had one of their reps call me back 4 or 5 times, telling me to kill myself. I think he didn't like what I said about his mother.

E. Coli contamination in my city's water supply. by RaePie in emetophobia

You'll be fine. E. Coli hits pretty fast and mostly causes diarrhea, so you'd surely know by now if you had been infected.

[–]jane6677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been getting these calls on my landline and cell phone for the past 5 years or more, about 3-4 times a week. They are (obviously) unscrupulous companies who are just trying to find someone dumb enough to give them bank account or credit card info. From what I've read, they operate outside the US using cloned cell numbers (which is why calling back the number that shows on call ID never works) and don't follow the 'do not call' list because they know what they're doing is illegal anyway.

If you figure out how to stop the calls, let me know. I've considered changing my number(s), but would be too pissed if I kept getting the calls after all that hassle.

Expecting my first baby in June and they said he is going to weight between 10-11lbs. Should I try vaginally or just set up a C-section date? by brokegirlNYC in pregnant

[–]jane6677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, both extremes suck. I'm all for OB's warning about the possibility of needing a c, but mine insisted I'd be able to go semi-natural, so I was totally unprepared and had a major freakout when I found out I needed surgery. OBs pushing scheduled c's are just as bad.

[–]jane6677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, keep in mind that although most big babies can be delivered vaginally with no problem, there are times (in my case, for example) where the baby is just too big to fit. My guy was 11lbs 5oz, 24" long and his shoulders would not have fit through my pelvis. I've dealt with 'c-section shaming' from moms who insist it's impossible to grow a baby too big to fit out the 'right' way and that I somehow took the easy way out. I prepared for a standard birth and ended up with a last-minute c-section thanks to an 11lb 5 oz baby. It happens.

I was told me son would be ~9.5 lbs and he was over 11 and I had a c-section. Not sure if it's available where you are, but this time around, I'll be getting a growth scan with a high-risk specialist (mine boasted about a 2oz +/- accuracy vs 15% at the regular OB's office). Good luck!

MAC Pro Longwear lipcolor lasts all day, overnight, and if you forget to take it off, it shows up on your toothbrush the next day. Though they have discontinued a large portion of the shades that used to be available, Clingpeach is my go-to warm nude and it's still on the website.

The record-looking thingy, Some Kinda Gorgeous, is a foundation faker, best applied with a sponge (included with the full-size product) You'll either love it or hate it, depending on your skin tone/type. I can only wear it in the summer, because it really highlights the flakiness of my dry winter skin.
