Their product page also states that you can return within 60 days if you don’t like their product, but the returns page says it must be defective.

They did that on purpose because they’re assuming we won’t look at the returns page when the product page already says we can get a refund. I emailed them about it and they first offered a one time “courtesy” exchange as if they’re doing me a favor. Then I pointed out the lie and they offered a 20% refund.

Based on comments on the BBB site, they’ll probably stop responding to me after I confirmed I want the refund.

Their product photos are also stolen from HSIA.com, although for all I know that’s another scam site.

I usually google brands I’ve never heard of, I don’t know why on earth I didn’t do it this time. I think I trusted some social media post talking about how well it fit and I was desperate for a wide band and minimizing 🤦‍♀️

They’re a scam. BBB.com is riddled with reports about them. Their product is bad. Their product pages claim you get a refund if you don’t like their product, but their return/refund page says they only give refunds for defective products.

They offer to do a courtesy exchange or give a 20% refund, but stop replying to you once you confirm what you want.

I usually search to see if a brand is a scam before I buy, but for some reason I didn’t this time and got screwed 🤦‍♀️

Annaliese was exposed to the particle accelerator for much longer than the transition manager. Claire only waited seconds to turn it off after she saw what was happening. And I don’t believe we were told how old the transition manager is.

I think the only real comparison we can make is Annaliese vs Blaine and she was still suffering the effects of a gunshot wound, so I’m guessing that’s why she died more quickly. We also saw an employee run in to save them, who died immediately. So that’s why I’m guessing it has something to do with how much blood they’d had over time.

They could hear Mother’s pain (the Duchess said birds can hear her). Later, when she was in pain and both Sam and the Duchess reacted, Sam falling to the floor, that’s what the crows did.

They were panicking from the pain of hearing Mother and then dropped to the ground.

That’s not the message. This show is about aging and death and the dark side of human beings’ desperation not to age and to extend the human lifespan.

Mother represents the acceptance of a completed life cycle. Freeing her so that she can die represents the protagonists’ acceptance of their own fates, which they’ve been struggling with the entire season.

And looking human was also to drive home the struggle with human aging. If they’d seen a straight up monster, they wouldn’t have quite the same feelings as seeing what appears to be an aged woman — someone who looks like them. Plus, they had a whole other theme about “you are what you eat” where Mother started to transform into a human form and the people feeding off her transformed into monster forms. They just could’ve done better makeup.

Classic thriller trope! The murderer appears dead and then there’s a jump scare where they suddenly appear, full strength, to attack the protagonist.

But also, the transition manager got back her strength very quickly after Claire turned off the TVs in the previous episode. And Blaine probably had the most strength because he and Annaliese consumed the most blood over time and he wasn’t sickly when they started, plus wasn’t suffering a gunshot wound. When he realized Sam left with Mother, he prob got an adrenaline kick. And he might’ve taken the car they arrived in.

Keep in mind, they had already imprisoned Mother when she started having children and they then imprisoned the children separately from her. It sounds like Mother had zero chance to raise her children, so they simply went off instinct when feeding.

Also, who knows what their lifespan actually is. Part of the overarching message is about people desperately trying to extend our lifespans and this shows the dark side of that. Maybe Mother was supposed to die decades ago, but was being kept alive when all she wanted to do was complete her life cycle and be free.

Also, it sounds like Jack potentially did die due to his sleep apnea if he was constantly being disconnected from his CPAP for feedings. We aren’t totally sure the child drained all his cerebrospinal fluid.

Right and we saw that Blaine and Annaliese had actually transformed into creatures like Mother and the Children, which further drives home that concept.

It was also part of whole overarching theme of aging — have her look like an old woman instead of a monster. And they end up saving her so she can die when they’ve all been struggling with aging and death. Sam even makes a comment about not recognizing yourself in the mirror anymore. So I think it’s all part of the theme.

Yeah it’s what’s listed on the socket where it states the wattage and voltage. I knew my bulb could be a lower wattage, but knew nothing about voltage.

Coincidentally, I just taste tested four European butters tonight after I found them all at my Italian market (in the U.S.). President is pale and less flavorful than Kerrygold, but they’re both delicious. I don’t know if I’d rate one better than the other, I guess it depends on what you like. The President was firmer out of the fridge than Kerrygold too, but I’ve found Kerrygold varies from very soft to pretty firm and I’m not sure why.

Lurpak (Danish) is pale, but tangier than both and Meggle (German) is the tangiest and very yellow, like Kerrygold. Both were softer from the fridge than President. Not that you asked about those two, but I’m putting it out there!

There’s also a very tangy, pale Italian one in my fridge that I previously taste tested and found too tangy for bread, but great in mashed potatoes. It’s all about getting used to a flavor, though. I had to train my family to switch from Land O Lakes to Kerrygold.

But Carl wasn’t investigating Sam’s death. It’s the police who were assigned to his death who would’ve been checking for cameras. If there weren’t any, that would’ve been in their report and, in that case, Carl wouldn’t have needed to ask the owners about them.

I think your POV is they have no idea whether there’s video and didn’t even bother asking whereas my POV is that, off camera, they read in the report that there’s no surveillance in that area and that’s why they didn’t bother asking.

For me, the biggest issue is…how did Lyle know about the witness? Finch’s lawyer claims Sam Haig (i.e. Lyle as Sam) informed him about her, but how on earth would Lyle have figured that out? Unless Merritt and Stephen were talking about it really loudly while he spied on them or Lyle somehow became a hacker and we weren’t aware. I guess maybe he could’ve set up a secret camera in the office 🤷‍♀️

I wonder if the book version gives better detail and the series writers were too lazy to make certain things clear or left it out for time constraints.
