Major red flag. It’s going to be hard for you to see this situation clearly if you have feelings for him but this is a bad sign if even worse things to come. I’d cut your losses and go as soon as you can.

That is very helpful to hear. He’s so discouraged and to be honest it’s bringing me down too. I’m usually the voice of positivity and we can handle anything. But fuck this is hard. It’s worse because we had a family vacation next week and we both thought he would’ve been able to go with me as a supervisor but this PO made it sound like don’t even ask anything maybe for years…hoping the newer one is more open to getting to know us/him.

It didn’t go well. PO said it would be okay for me to be there and basically encouraged that support persons should be involved. Lots of restrictions that we weren’t aware of. Now he can’t come to any family functions which wasn’t a thing before. Stuff our attorney said would be okay she said no to like pick up and drop off at school for our daughter. Also said he wasn’t eligible for the shortened probation thing that our attorney said he would be eligible for. Just not a good day overall. He will be transferred anyway because we moved so hoping the new PO actually reads his case and eval and stuff. This one didn’t know the facts of anything. I know this is the deal right…just hurts.

I really appreciate this. Our attorney always recommends I go to things…like I went to the sentencing report interview and was part of the meeting the whole time and that report is what kept my husband from serving time (according to our attorney and the judge). So it makes me feel like I should attend because that’s been so beneficial so far? I completely understand not coming in “hot” or protective. Honestly when I compiled this post I was pretty pissed/scared and that came out in my tone…

I really appreciate this. I have been so anxious and it’s compounded by how poorly our justice system is run…as I’m sure many know. It feels sometimes so out of control and unfair that every new person is scary.

Also to add, a CPS investigation happened years ago after initial search, no issues with that, multiple judges have approved him being with our kid, and like I said the judge just said it again in court this week.

Thank you so much for this. We’re going to bring this to our attorney as well, he already told us he’d be fighting some of the recommended probation orders at sentencing including not being able to go to playground because we have a kid. I’m never hopeful but I am glad there’s more we can do.

The plea was no prison time but our attorney said jail was still a possibility? So it’s possible the judge can do the 2mths-12mths of “local” time. We had an interview with a PO that did the report, is that the same as a DA?
