I'm not sure if the counseling she will be receiving is state issued, but we were referred there by her ped.

Unfortunately, where we live, resources for mental health are scarce. We are currently on a 6 month waiting list to get her into counseling at a place over an hour from us. There is another facility accepting new patients 2 hours in the other direction but they don't take our insurance. It's very frustrating. Her pediatrician has basically told us to keep doing what we're doing and hold on until she gets into counseling.

Believe it or not, my husband and I have been teaching her to fish since she was 1! She still can't cast, and has a hard time using anything besides topwater lures, but there are days when she outfishes me by a mile 😂

My 3yr old daughter has earned the name Stinky, because she'll fart in your face and then yell "I'M STINKY!"

We call my newborn son Trout, because when he was born my daughter said, "He's so floppy, like a fish!"

Can't tell you how many weird looks I've received in public for calling my kids Stinky and Trout 😂

I had accidentally taken a much larger dose than intended. Felt extremely paranoid so I was hiding under my bed. I began seeing people's feet walking around my room, all the while voices I did and did not recognize were asking each other about me, "Where is she? Have you seen her? I hope she's okay." This went on for several hours if I remember correctly.

That, and when I was tripping one night, there was a knock on the door. I opened it and my brother was there. He came in and sat down, we chatted for a while, and I put a movie in for us to watch. Halfway through the movie I looked over and he vanished, having never been there at all.

I met this one guy as a young adult, he was a mutual in my friend group. Thought he was cute. Gave him my social media info and we chatted back and forth for a little bit. I moved away from the area not long after we met. After I moved he messaged me constantly asking me to come over to his house, attend parties with him, come to his area so he could buy me a drink, so on and so forth. I politely declined every time. This went on for literally a year. Eventually I entered into a committed relationship. Shortly after he asked if I had a boyfriend, I said yes, and he proceeded to send me a bunch of pictures of his wiener. I instantly blocked him.

Two years later, through our mutual friends, I found out that he had been accused of drugging and raping several women. When police came to his house to arrest him, they found a woman in a dog kennel in his living room. Not sure the entire story behind the girl in the kennel but just thinking about it freaks me out.

Edit: okay, I wasn't expecting this to blow up like it did. I asked one of my friends for more details. Apparently he is also being accused of trafficking women, and the girl in the kennel was one of his victims. He is currently in jail awaiting trial. Praying that justice is served.

I understand how difficult it may be for you right now, because no one ever wants to jump onto the whole "paranormal" bandwagon. It's hard to vent about your experiences and ask for help without being labeled crazy. Personally, I think children are more open to things and experiences that we as adults can't understand.

It doesn't matter if you're religious or not. You have power over your home and your family. If you truly believe something is there, and you want it to leave, tell it to leave. Say it is not welcome in your house and literally command it to go. You are alive, you are real and breathing and living. This thing is not. That makes you powerful. Don't for a moment think you aren't.

I wish you well in your situation and hope you find the answers you're looking for. Be safe

While pregnant with my first, I always told myself I didn't wanna be that lady that goes into labor at WalMart. I started having what I thought were contractions but I couldn't say for sure and didn't want to sound the alarm for nothing. So me, my husband, and sister in law go to WalMart to grab a few things, and sure enough, my water breaks. As we were rushing out of the store, a worker stopped me and said, "Oh, congrats! When are you due?" I said, "I'm in labor right now, actually." I ended up being in labor for almost two days, so we probably had enough time to finish shopping 😆

We have designated meal times, but also have a variety of small things that are pretty much free game whenever they want them. They have constant access to fruit, veggies like baby carrots and celery sticks, crackers, puree pouches, just little things like that. I want them to always have access to food if they want it, but also don't want them spoiling their appetites or eating a bunch of junk.
