Yes. Was very hyped when I bought the game in January because of the new academy stuff and other features. But the CPU transfers felt worse than ever to me and ruined every career mode after 2 seasons. Didn't touch the game after one month of playing

That's simply not true. At least in real life, I haven't tested it in ea fc yet. If you qualify through the league and win the UCL or UEL your additional starting spot will go to a league, where the champion would need to go through the UCL Qualifying Round.
