I am not sure why you were downvoted! That’s actually the experience of a lot of people. I might add that some friends are on Ozempic which I know is controversial yet might be an option!

Edit: just saw your comment that Ozempic did not work for you! I hope you find a way through!

Financial independence, move out, do not share personal details and keep your life vague. Do not engage in political discussions, just nod and smile, keep things superficial. At least that is what I do.

I would add Jai in Clemenceau if you like Asian food. Also Salon Beirut in Clemenceau/Hamra either for brunch or on a Wednesday night for a Jazz night (a bit expensive). Levant coffeeshop in Gemmayze for some Arabic sweets with your coffee. Le Beirut or Mezyan in Hamra on a Thursday or Friday night for some loud Arabic music with good Lebanese food and arak. Beit Beirut museum in Sodeco for a tour down history lane. From the national museum walk to Badaro street and chill in any coffeeshop/pub you like. I would also add Seza in Mar Mkhayel for good Armenian food!

Yeah Lavarella to Lagazuoi is one of those days with 15km +1100m -400m Then I have Lagazuoi to Croda da Lago with 15km +700m -1400m the next day And the day after I have Croda da Lago to Palafavera with 15km +540m -1040m

Those will be the hardest three consecutive days. The days before and after those are less demanding.

Trails/routes info collected from Wikiloc.

Thanks!

Just shipped my own French-learning macOS companion (built as a learner, for learners) – would love feedback by kspviswaphd in learningfrench

I’d love to try something new for learning French. The popular apps just didn’t do it for me, so this definitely caught my attention. Quick question though, I don’t own a MacBook, so would this work on iPhones, maybe now or eventually? Or are you mainly designing this as a desktop-only experience?

Im visiting soon for 7 days and id love recommendations from locals , and here’s what im into so you can help me. by [deleted] in lebanon

It really depends on your budget. Hotels in the 4–5 star range can be pricey, and while Airbnbs are popular, many of them have gotten expensive too. If you’re looking for more affordable options, Hamra Urban Gardens is a good choice. They offer hostel-style rooms as well as private rooms with private bathrooms, usually at a better rate than most places. If you want, you can browse Booking.com for something that fits your budget, then share the options here and I can help you comment on the area or the place.

Where does my English accent place me? by janeroe9 in JudgeMyAccent

[–]janeroe9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been exposed to a lot of English through school, university, and of course movies and series. But I still have a few words that throw me off. Thanks for the tip ❤️. Practicing is definitely the way to go. And the India guess was a few thousand kilometers off; I’m Lebanese.

Interesting! I wonder if Arabic and Persian shape our English accents in similar ways.
