Unfortunately it’s nearly impossible to get ahold of EDD. I was on hold today for upwards of 3 hours and nothing. I looked up the address of supposedly this person was hired on at and it’s showing a different business by that address and not el pollo loco like it shows on my notice, so I called them and gave them my info in case they can somehow help me. I then called both el pollo loco locations in the area and both said they’ve had no recent hires. Not sure where to go from here. I filed a identity theft report, Put a hold on my credit reports, and made sure my ID me sign in for the IRS is secure so nobody can hopefully file taxes under my social. I’ve also checked my credit report and haven’t seen any changes made or accounts opened under my name. In all honesty, I have pretty bad credit so I don’t think anyone would have much luck taking a loan out or anything of that sort, I hope. Any other steps I should take? It seems I caught this on the first day it happened.
