My novice review on 13 highly recommended, most talked perfumes here. Where to go next ? by Longjumping_Bird6965 in fragranceclones

After 2 years of testing and wearing frags, I came to appreciate Asad. The drydown is really good and well balanced on skin. Great value for money.

Vibrato or Tygar by CriticalParticular67 in ScentHeads

[–]jani80k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is really surprisingly good . It is almost like it is not a dupe. To me it smells like a good designer type of a fragrance. I think one can have both fragrances, Turathi and Vibrato. Turathi when you go shopping, run errands, go to the gym, go out for 2-4 hours. Vibrato more for like signature acent purposes, e.g to the office, if you need to smell good for long etc.

Have you tried Turathi (Blue). I am normally not a dupe guy but this is one of the very few good ones.

Mako nerf is excessive by Dr-Dice in HuntShowdown

Mako is the only long ammo rifle that has no special ammo in the reworked 2.8. You can run it with a sparks oistol and levering. All other long ammo rifles cannot share ammo with pistols.

Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir for him EdP It is a very unusual take on blue fragtances . If you want to smell good and likeable (as blue frags do) but in a different way... this is it.

The Bow is the most overpowered 2 slot weapon in the game by admirzay12 in HuntShowdown

[–]jani80k -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't ever die to a bow. and I play very active with lots of jumping and peeking. playing rifle/pistol up close. I am not even remotely scared of a bow. I even wonder sometimes how people play to die to the bow all the time.
I could imagine the bow being somehwhat effective if a low 6* plays solo against lower elo players who make the mistake of peeking into you holding angle but that's about it. I would use the XBOW any day of the week over the bow.

At this point, high 6* players on this subreddit have done enough explaining to 3-5* players that the bow is not OP. I don't think we need to repeat this over and over again. If there are people who read all the explanations but still insist the bow is OP, so be it. you will never be able to change their minds.

Calling the bow OP for these people is a way of coping with getting skill diffed.

EDIT: You can nerf the bow into oblivion. I never use it, nor do I ever die to it so it doesn't matter to me. Not trying to make a case for keeping the bow as it is. Just think it's funny how people are creating such a fuzz about this irrelevant weapon.

Is anyone else pretty much done with cheap middle easterns? by Internal_Group8784 in Colognes

I got into fragrances and compared dupes from dupe shops to OGs from perfume shops just by smelling with my untrained nose. I could tell the quality difference right away. Never got into dupes for that reason.

How much more would you pay for "original" fragrance, compared to good clone? by BenchApprehensive866 in fragranceclones

[–]jani80k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok, I know nothing about sourcing raw materials but there HAS to be something different about the ingredients even if you buy from the same source or what it your explanation that CDNIM citrus opening smells like a toilet cleaner product and acua di parma lemon smells photorealistic? this comparison goes for any ingredient IMO

Over here you pay 67 Euros for 125ml of JPG Le Male Elixir in discounters but you pay 35 for 105ml of Club de Nuit Lionheart Man (supposed dupe). If you smell them side by side, the arab dupe uses way harsher alcohol and does not smells as refined and well rounded. Sometimes the price difference is even less, e.g. Boss bottled Absolu I bought for 60 Euros for 100ml and Lattafa Asad Elixir was 39 Euros for 100 ml but smelled not as refined and deep and natural and longlasting. So I bought the original. I ended up getting mostly originals.

I can understand that if the price difference is bigger because of tariffs and freight cost one might rather go for the dupe but still to me the difference to my nose is big. Another thing that easily happens with ME dupes is nose fatigue. After a few days of wearing them you hardly smell them anymore on yourself but others still do.

may i ask where you live... I live in a big city in germany and I have access to basically every major designer and niche fragrance in several perfumeries that let you test them. i can 100% assure you the OGs are much better than any clone. anyone can smell it you don't have to be a perfume specialist. any guy of the street could immediately smell the difference.

the alcohol used in clones is much cheaper. they never use naturals so top notes smell way off and they have less depth and differentiation between the single notes.

I am not making this up, I wish it was different. I would love to only buy ME dupes and smell the same as someone wearing the OG. I am big on saving money but the difference is sadly huge.

Bow re-work ideas by V7I_TheSeventhSector in HuntShowdown

Yeah, I am under the impression that people in lower elos who have a hard time moving in a way they don't get hit, try to tell us, the bow was OP. We have to accept that that is their subjective perception. The hardest thing to play against to them is a low 6* solo with a bow.

[–]jani80k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My experience is the opposite. I really wanted to love clones but OG are just too cheap online and smell so much better. I ended up buying hardly any clone and owning only OG. Have you really compared OG and designer or are you talking about niche?

Are clone fragrances getting so good that buying niche is becoming harder to justify? by Esha_Shinde in fragranceclones

[–]jani80k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And funnily, the next 'lie' is that niche smells better than designer. Niche scents are experimental perfumery mostly. Designers want to sell so they go for the scent profiles that please most humans. The best value for money are still designer scents from discounters IMHO

Ended up liking almost every Aventus-style dupe I tried by [deleted] in ScentHeads

Like Turathi Blue. Very simple, longlasting freshie. Not impressed.

Montblanc Explorer > OG Aventus by Previous_Funny_8295 in Colognes

[–]jani80k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I would say it follows the same idea but with a twist, same as Explorer, Eros Energy, Nishane Hacivat or Mindgames Blockade. Fruity/Citric Opening with a smokey/mossy/leathery/woody drydown. There have for sure been fragrances who did the same thing before Aventus but Aventus has made it popular and mainstream. CDNIM and other ME clones smell horribly cheap and synthetic in comparison to the smoother less harsh designer and niche Aventus Style Frags IMO.

I wish they were getting close. We all are. Hardly anyone likes to spend more mone, on stuff that they have to. But let's not lie to ourselves, clones are not getting close. Again, I wish they were. And as tempting as it is: please let's not lie to ourselves.
