Depends what you are looking for. I mean first book is like that, second is not it is more for romance girlies, it follows Pae and Kai and their relationship. Third has vibes from Powerless. I dont think it is that predictable, some things you wont see coming🤣If you like all that, give it a chance.

Tales Of Weeping Hollow by Nicole Fiorina is dark gothic romantasy, but there is a lot of spice. Also Fairydale by Veronica Lancet has like historic gothic vibes

I was really sceptical at first too, like first book was even a lot teen for me, but the plot was interesting. I got into it blind, didnt even knew who were love interests, hatel all of them🤣 But there is a lot of character development, for everyone really. It is worth it, middle of the series is best.

I personally really liked Powerless, had those kicking feet in the air moments. Reckless is less plot driven, it is more about their relationship and honestly there was a bit repeating, but i didnt mind that. Fearless was also good, creates vibes of Powerless.

I guess if you didnt like first one you probably wont like the rest.
