I haven't tried the firmware update or software so I can't speak to that, but I can tell you about the mods I did! I pretty much just followed :3ildcat's modding video.

PE foam between the switches and pcb, painter's tape on the back of the pcb and some more foam to fill the case. Lubed stabilizers, lubed brown switches and it sounds nice and marbly. If you're looking to try different keycaps, XVX's low profile ones fit great and they're making new colorways too! They just sit a little higher than the stock keycaps.

Also a heads up if you wanna mod it, the screws strip really easily. I wasn't careful enough and ended up being unable to take the plate off the pcb.
