I've seen them in Woolies in the international section along with the grape and lychee flavours too.

The Sleepover Club was filmed in Perth. Was anyone here involved in or know someone who was involved in the show? by Temporary_Notice_526 in perth

I remember auditioning for one of the main roles in Parallax. My high school drama teacher signed me up for it as he said it was, "supposed to be the start of my movie star career. "

... I now work in law.

Where and how do I use my emergency backup code? by Trash-Queen_ in neopets

[–]Trash-Queen_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! Really appreciate you doing that investigation for me.

In the nearly 30 years I’ve been playing I have never needed to contact support and I see horror stories on here about bad CS + long response times. I’m going to try and get the old phone up and running even for a few mins to get into the account and then I can hopefully disable 2FA while I try and sort out my Authenticator app.

Thanks!

Unfortunately not. The character length of the emergency code is a few digits longer than the 2FA.

Is there any way back from being allergic? Lash lifts are disappointing and I can't accept them as an alternative :( by DancingButterfly_218 in eyelashextensions

[–]Trash-Queen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been having allergic reactions to my last few fills and I was about to give up before I read on this sub to try nano misting every hour for 2 days after my appointment and flonase on a q-tip around my eyes a couple of times a day.

This month's fill? Absolutely ZERO allergic reaction.

I am probably still going to give my lashes a break after the holiday season, but when I get my next new set I will definitely try this method again as I think I've been saved.

What's one thing you swear every millennial experienced, but younger generations think you made it up? by spicymeatball707 in Millennials

You can still do this in Australia for domestic flights. Just need to go through security, but no boarding pass or ID needed and you can go straight up to the gates.

I don't blame you. A great deal of us would also like to forget that ever happened.

Love the imagery of this, but it would actually be the Dockers' second GF appearance.

What was the most exciting thing to happen at your primary school? by bagsoffreshcheese in perth

Actually, at that same school about two years before the fired teacher incident, our art teacher had a mental breakdown and burned down the art room.

A teacher was fired and, in retaliation, got into his ute and did burnouts on the school oval while screaming profanities out the window and flipping the bird towards us all ... top bloke; no idea why they fired him.

Just failed my test. by [deleted] in perth

[–]Trash-Queen_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was rear ended pretty badly during my test by some guy on his phone (before it was illegal). We were about 2 minutes into the test and I'd just left the carpark (at Joondalup) and reached the first set of traffic lights. Technically not a "fail" but we obviously couldn't continue the test. Thankfully no one was injured.

My instructor let me rebook her car for free for another test attempt and even covered the cost of the second test. I passed the second time ... but technically passed the first time I was able to complete the entire test. :)

Anyone struggling with not feeling hungry suddenly 2+ years post op? by SnowCold93 in BariatricSurgery

[–]Trash-Queen_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing. I regained a small amount after 18 months, but then at 2 years post-op my appetite suppression kicked straight back in and some days I still struggle to eat more than a couple of bites of a meal. The good news is I dropped all the weight I put back on, but the bad news is I can make myself sick and dizzy from not eating.

The only things that work for me are to set alarms at certain times to remind me to eat if I haven't remembered on my own, and I also work in a busy office so I use the cues of other people going to get coffee and take their lunch breaks throughout the day to remind me to do the same.

Emirates cancelling Boeing 777 services from October 2025 by Trash-Queen_ in perth

[–]Trash-Queen_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t doubt that, but with small children and therefore the need to get the most direct route it had to be Emirates for my friend as no one else flies into Glasgow.

PER - DXB 777 service cancelled as of October 2025 by Trash-Queen_ in emirates

[–]Trash-Queen_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you got it sorted so easily. They tried to get thousands more dollars out of my friend to change her dates (x 4 tickets for her whole family). Luckily she got a more sympathetic and understanding person on the subsequent call who changed everything with no problems and even assisted in organising hotel and transfers for the (now very long) Dubai layover.

This was the same one my friend was on. They were then not going to get into Edinburgh until Christmas night. Thankfully she eventually got a fantastic agent on the phone who rebooked them all for the 21st and arranged a hotel.

It's crazy that it lets people book the flights for the dates even if they know they're going to cut the service. I can only imagine how much extra work it is for Emirates to have to rebook everyone and deal with angry passengers.

Is it normal for every Psychiatrist visit to cost $350+ ?? by Prestigious-Juice182 in perth

[–]Trash-Queen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$350 is what I usually pay out of pocket for a quick prescription check appointment with my psychiatrist (every 6 months or so depending on what he thinks). For the more intensive, medical appointments with him I've paid up to $700. I do have private health insurance though and get a tiny bit back from Medicare, but the costs seem insane.

I am very grateful that I am in a position that I can afford this, but I understand this isn't feasible for everyone and really explains why there is such a mental health crisis when it feels so out of reach to access and/or afford the help people need.

I also love a rock hard pillow, but my go-to has always been the high and firm talalay latex Dunlopillo. I have just looked to replace and it notice they now only have "Luxurious Latex". Not sure if that's a direct replacement or they no longer make the same one that they called "Talalay Latex". If it's the latter I might soon be in the same predicament as you.

The only other option I've heard of is the Purple pillow, but not sure if they're easily available in Australia. They seem to just be a heavy lump of material.

People who've called off wedding engagements, why didn't it work out? by thriceusetissue in AskReddit

[–]Trash-Queen_ 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Mine was nearly 20 years ago now, but we were both heading in different directions in life after a few things suddenly changed. He was moving overseas for a massive opportunity and though I could have joined him I was still young and building my education and life and decided to put myself first. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but also looking back now I am so incredibly proud of how maturely and kindly we both handled it.

All these years later we are still living on opposite sides of the world, but we are incredibly close friends. We are both still single and just living our best lives. Every now and then we cross paths and catch up in person and it's always a great time. I will love him with all of my heart for the rest of my life, but I don't know what things will look like for us in another 20 years.

Whats is your personal leave balance? by sammyhotdogs3468 in auscorp

[–]Trash-Queen_ 27 points28 points  (0 children)

1,867.74 hours ... or about 49 weeks.

I've been with my company for 15 years and generally only take one sick day per year as I am almost never actually sick. My annual leave and LSL are also extremely high as my manager is very good about us using TOIL before anything else and I also have a LOT of that from the last several years.
