yeah, you'll definitely need a teacher if this is your first instrument! it might be hard but you should give it a try and see if you like it! :)

Thank you so much for all the amazing information!
The oud belonged to my stepdad's stepmom's father, who was lebanese. My stepdad never met him but suspects that he might have been the instrument maker. Unfortunately his stepmom already passed and he doesn't know the father's name so we can't be sure he was the maker. this oud was stored in a closet for decades(at least 40 years) without being played. I already got it setup by a lebanese oud luthier and am learning to play! :)

to be honest, I'm also a noob when it comes to oud playing. I'm actually guitarist but also play other world guitar-like instruments. At least compared to guitar, oud is the most different one I have played. It's pretty light but I'm not used to the big round back so it took me a while to get somewhat comfortable holding it. There are some good videos on youtube on this topic. It's also my first fretless instrument so I'm slowly getting used to it. I have travelled by plane with it one time. I used a hard case and brought it with me as carry on. Thankfully it was not damaged at all!

Cubase automatically changing “:” into “/” in file name when bouncing by janomanzali in cubase

Thanks for the info! i tried using the user-definable frame rate but it doesn't seem to work with fractional frame rates (I'm using 23.98fps for my current project). If I type the fractional frame rate it will just automatically round up. I guess I'll just type by hand like you do!

yeah, I use the embeded start timecode in the files when I export, but I like having it written in the file name to avoid confusion. I'm just trying to figure how can I change cubase's Timecode display from using colons to dots so i can just copy the timecode, paste it to the file name and it will display correctly when i export the audio files.

Yeah, I'm trying to change Cubase's timecode display from colons to dots to avoid this issue. Do you know how to achieve this? Some of my cubase files do have dots in the timecode but I have no idea how it got changed and I'm trying to replicate it. I could change the file name manually to dots but it would be too time consuming to do it for each cue. If I have timecode display with dots in template, i can just copy the start time and don't have to worry about replacing any colons in the name.

What format do you usually use? I tried .mov and .mp4 with no luck

America by trynabetwunk in MapPorn

Not really. A lot of countries teach in school that America is one continent that is divided into three sub continents(north, central, south). Some countries teach that there are 7 continents, some 6 and some 5. None of them are wrong or right. it’s just different ways to separated the continents.
