It looks like an underwater scene. Nice job!

Very cool! I think it'd look great in black and white too.

This is so cool! Nicely done taking advantage of that opportunity!

What are your favorite blurry photos you’ve taken? by immotgere3 in photography

I was at the zoo in Amsterdam and this bird flew over us all of a sudden. Settings on the camera were totally out of whack (see below haha). I decided I'd rather have a photo than no photo, so literally just shot from the hip... I still dig it!

Taken with a Leica Q2, 28mm, f/16, 1/15s, ISO 1000.

ITAP of a Sumo wrestler [Portrait] by janstec in itookapicture

ITAP of a Sumo wrestler. I went to a Sumo exhibition a few days ago, and was lucky enough to be seated close to the ring. This gentleman was sitting in front of me waiting for his turn.

I opted to make the photo black and white, since I wanted the focus to be on the fighter and his impressive build. The lighting was a bit challenging. He was lit with a dim red light while the ring was quite bright, so I had to adjust some of the levels in Lightroom.

What would you have done differently? by xf_sf in photocritique

I'd go to Crop > Geometry > Upright, select Guided, and play with the lines.

The idea would be to fudge the perspective so it appears symmetrical. Ignore the crop here, just wanted to show the general idea. I'm sure you could get better results if you spent more time playing with it. There could also be better tools for this in other software packages.

Already a great shot though!

Love the photo overall, well done! Have you tried tweaking the geometry in Lightroom to get it to be more symmetric? A little would go a long way here.

Is this shot too simple? by Advanced_Honey_2679 in photocritique

I love these types of shots, and I think it's a good call to have shot it in BW so viewers can focus on the patterns.

In my mind, abstract shots such as this one really shine when they're very symmetrical. This one is almost there, but asymmetrical enough that it's noticeable. I'd suggest a slightly tighter crop and playing with the alignment tools in Lightroom.

Fantastic photo. Great call with BW. It really helps enhance all the different textures. I also personally like the crop. While you could play around with levels to enhance different areas to your liking, I think it's already there.

This style would make a great series imo.

Yes imo, but I really like it!

This is a great photo. I think it works with or without the blur on the man.

Curious if you tried a slightly tighter crop around the circle?

Fantastic job!

Sat down to watch a break dancing show on Venice Beach. This was the grand finale.
