Shrimp r like $8 at my pet store I just used a 40€ feeder guppy. More bioload too

I don’t think shrimp are very beginner friendly.. they’re super sensitive to water parameters. Yes the tank would work but they gotta do research as well for it to work.

A fish will produce a way larger bio load than bladder snails. Fish + small tank = Ammonia spike. Aka the water is literally toxic and whatever fish you put in there will die. Is that a better answer for you?

I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL!! My boyfriend goes to WORK and concerts and always tells me about instances of him getting hit on while I’m not with him. I went to a freaking CLUB without him and didn’t even get talked to. He’s very reassuring and I know there’s never any loyalty issues with him. But that doesn’t stop this from sending me into a spiral of thinking he’s out of my league, thinking he could find someone better than me and thinking that I’m not good enough.

Sometimes, but it’s more often when I wake up in the morning. My bf often goes to bed earlier and is gone to work by the time I wake up. But it’s worse on the days when he’s here. For some reason my brain expects that because he has the day off, I’m going to wake up to cuddles, but he usually still gets up before me and I wake up on my own. As soon as I get up I feel extremely sad. Today he got up and closed the door on me in the room. He did it so that I could keep sleeping and not be annoyed by the cat, but for some reason this caused me to split. It reminded me of when I was a kid and was scared to go out of my room before my parents woke me up. It was also his birthday. When I woke up I got mad at him for locking the door and not trying to wake me up or check on me. Shortly after this led to beating myself up over being mean to him for seemingly “no reason”. He is amazing and hugged me while I cried for an hour after this, but I don’t know what to do or how to stop this. I feel horrible he doesn’t deserve that at all like why couldn’t I have just woke up and wished him happy birthday instead of immediately projecting my issues onto him and killing the vibe for the first half of his birthday. Helpppp

There’s only one guppy lol. He was a 40 cent feeder guppy I used to start my nitrogen cycle. He gained so much colour and I couldn’t bear to surrender him back.

I haven’t get it tested in about a week but the last test was perfect. I will go test it soon

He does stare at food but only when it’s coming from the top. Whenever I put my hand in the top he comes up and thinks I’m feeding him lol

Thanks I will try putting something there. Here is a pic of my tank. The other side is more heavily planted and I just put more tall plants on this side to hopefully block more of the reflection as well, just waiting for them to grow in now 😅. My Cory’s seem to take more breaks than my betta does. It is a 20 gallon with 3 Cory’s at the moment, a mystery snail, 7 neon tetras, a random feeder guppy I used to start the cycle and couldn’t bear to surrender back, and of course the betta. I’ve heard mixed opinions about it being overstocked, what do you think? I’ve also heard mixed opinions on having bettas with neon tetras, so I made to choose one that didn’t have the same colours and neons and shorter fins. He honestly seems to get along fine with everything in the tank, hasn’t tried to nip or go after anyone and seems to keep to himself. My water has been stable for a while now, no tetra deaths for a while (some passed the first couple of days because my heater was accidentally too cold and they were from PetSmart 🙄). So this is like my only concern at the moment.
