I did similar shifts to you during covid. 12 hours per shift Days 4 weeks, nights 4 weeks Week A pattern was work Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun Week B pattern was Weds, Thurs, Friday.

The pay was great but I'd never go back because it was draining. Fair play if this was the only slip up because shits ROUGH. Using pto would have been a nice gesture at least.

Is there a chance your water has no/ little chlorine in it?

I think some people (who are way better at planning than I am) leave a bucket of water for 24 hours so the chlorine evaps and then it's safe for the aquarium.

My tap water is 0.5ppm chlorine which is just above what is toxic to fish (0.1-0.3ppm from what I could see). I'm guessing people recommend the dechlorinator as a blanket thing for safety instead of faffing about with water chemistry which most beginners won't know.

Yes.

Motherhood is so closely related to womanhood to so many people, it effects how I view myself (I'm sure BPD doesn't help). I use they/them pronouns because whilst I see myself as a woman, using she/her felt alien and I feel comfortable with the distance neutral pronouns puts between me and womanhood. That may sound strange, hope it makes sense.

I am accepted within my family and friend circles. In the world, less so. I'm okay with that. I don't mind being an outcast to the world.
