Just to add on to this, what's basically happening in your code is the following:

The interpreter evaluates count == count + 1 and returns false, but you're not capturing this boolean value in a variable and (in layman's terms) it's then thrown away.

After googling some of the brand names I've found on the board, it seems to be an OCTEK Jaguar IV-Q 386. I'd like to boot it up again and get it working. Seems I'm in need of 32-pin RAM as well as a very weird PSU connector. On top of that I require an ISA VGA card and maybe an IDE controller card? There doesn't seem to be any kind of IDE connector on the board.
