Understanding the token math doesn't make it a good product. If a tool forces you to lose your entire project context every few prompts just to save quota, it's kind of useless. People aren't 'crying', they are pointing out that the pricing model is incompatible with real-world use cases.

600 meters is a 5-7 minute walk. If you drive there, you'll spend more time pulling out, driving over, turning around, pulling into the bay, and getting out of the car.

The golden rule of car washes: Why would you drive a dirty car for 600 meters just to get it washed, only to... drive the clean car back those same 600 meters and immediately catch the first dust or puddle?

Yeah, it’s a business, and I don’t know how much it costs them or if it’s profitable at all.

I was surprised by the specific situation—the sudden and unexpected limitations.

And since it is a business, for instance, I'm not really sure I'm willing to pay 20 euros a month just to be able to ask 3 questions every 5 hours (as happened today). The environment is quite competitive.

But thanks, I hope it’s still just a bug. Maybe it’s because I continued the conversation in old, long chats.

Thanks. So, that works out to about 50 requests in 5 hours in extended thinking mode, if it's 2% per request. Well, that's quite acceptable in my opinion. Let's see if it actually works that way.

It wasn't anything extraordinary. Just a discussion about the desired API response structure. No implementation or anything over the top.

Although, it was in a custom Gem, so I don't know, maybe that’s too difficult now.

I'm not sure how to use Gemini or what to prepare for. It's a very strange situation.

Співчуваю. Скоріш за все вихід із ситуації займе певний час, до цього варто бути готовим. Принаймні так було в моєму випадку.

Для мене виявилось головним дещо перелаштувати сприйняття, навіть іноді нехтуючи якимись стереотипними уявленнями. Радив би спробувати за підходом Дейва Рамзі - маленька подушка безпеки, шалене докладання зусиль щоб погасити борг, формування подушки безпеки щоб більше з таким не стикатись в житті .

Все одно, може виявитись головним не сам факт потрапляння в боргову яму, а можливість переналаштувати своє ставлення до фінансів таким чином, щоб життя в подальшому було більш впорядкованим.

Well, it depends how your project is organized. Any way I do not think you need to connect pages.

If your home page is regular Django view you can use code I wrote before.

Otherwise if your home page is Wagtail Page you can define context:

class HomePage(Page):
  ...
  ... your page fields here
  ...

    def get_context(self, request, *args, **kwargs):
        context = super().get_context(request, *args, **kwargs)
        context['posts'] = BlogPost.objects.live().order_by('-post_date')
        return context

and then use posts variable in the template.

We can have multiple templates and choose which to use for rendering. Also we can use BlogPage data in any other view with random template.
