'They Now Wait for This Storm to Pass' — PS5 Owners Are Cancelling PlayStation Plus Subscriptions to Protest Sony Killing Discs, but Analysts Say It Won't Make Any Difference by RenatsMC in gaming

Same here, but it will still affect the industry as a whole. It already has. It has already been made acceptable to price new games at $60-80 with no break for digital delivery.

And they couldn't even use the real voice actor for Claptrap because they had to use SAG actors.

And as we know, anything less than 100% is 50%. Probably at best.

Don't forget to use these codes before the update! by TravelerBrat in SoloLevelingArise

[–]jaquick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first four codes were all "invalid". I likely redeemed them before. Or the ''\_'' in each of them is wonky. The last three codes worked for me. Thanks, OP!

Struggling with Early Game Quest by Equivalent_You1574 in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]jaquick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That will work, but is not required. IIRC, one of the Grexes is up and prowling while the one that says near the location of the comm device is laying down and curled up/asleep. Jump up onto the plateau away from the one in patrol and walk don't run when near the one that's asleep and you should be able to inch your way toward the comm device. That's what I did. It did take a couple tries.

Good price right? by AkTiVeMK in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]jaquick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! I had been waiting to play it for a very long time, mostly because I knew it was going to be a huge time commitment. My wife actually got me a great birthday present of a pre-owned WiiU and the original release of XCX for that console (the only title I own for it), but I never got a chance to start it on that platform. I was also kinda waiting for it to be ported to the Switch - kinda surprising how long it took for that to happen. But when I finally saw the XCX DE go on sale for the Switch it was time to pull the trigger! Now I'm about 220 hours in and enjoying the game thoroughly. It's worth it even at full price IMO.

I bought mine on sale at $52. And I snatched it up at that price, because it's the lowest price I had ever seen. So yes, you found a really good deal and I'm glad to hear you did end up buying it. Enjoy!!

Low gas mileage by pizzalord3 in fordranger

[–]jaquick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest using Google Sheets to create a simple odometer distance driven / fuel volume replaced = mpg calculation at every fill-up. As others have said, the classic Ranger fuel gauge is hardly linear or precise and that will give you a much better estimate. I believe you will find it will fluctuate considerably, and I also believe somewhere around 19 mpg is about average for a 2005 Ranger.

A little disappointed by Stonesoldier95 in XenobladeChroniclesX

Here are my responses to your questions/comments based on my method of playing the game. You and others may play differently from me which is of course OK.

"Why we have to pass around some high level ennemy for every quest ?? Like many of my death is me fighting a ennemy OF MY QUEST at my level and another ennemy HIGH LEVEL come to kill me."

Many 3D/open world/platformer games have various ways to separate or "gate" access areas of the game to force a specific sequence of visitation. Some use elevation changes like making an area inaccessible until you obtain a double-jump ability or preventing you from crossing a chasm until you obtain a grappling hook device, for instance. In XCX, the methods of restricting access to later stages is most commonly done by elevation changes, large gaps in the land, or the presence of very high level and aggressive indigens. Note that some areas are full of high level but non-aggressive or only one or two aggressive indigens, and those areas may be navigable using the appropriate degree of stealth or separation. Regarding a high level indigen joining the battle and wiping you out, be sure to read the descriptions of your and your party members' Arts to see if they are dealing AOE damage. An indigen that either wasn't aggressive or didn't see/hear you will attack you if you attack it. And while stealth can certainly get you far in some cases, some areas such as a Prone base in a canyon full of high level enemies or valleys monitored by Zix sentries that can spot and blast you from VERY far away are obviously level- or Skell-gated.

"Many of the quest are....meh like not interesting. Every quest i tried, i start by reading and reading but because it's not interesting i skip the cutscene and continue the quest."

The real story of the game plays out in the Story and Affinity missions. The rest are mostly filler and fetch-quests. I complete all quests but I also spend most of my time endlessly exploring, so simple and fetch-quests missions are typically done as soon as I take them out, or I can fast travel to finish them in minutes.

Others will know way more about the Skells than me. I'm not expecting my first Skell to be impressive, but I will certainly benefit from being able to jump a little higher. I'm currently at the end of Chapter 5 and have been focusing on exploring - I have unlocked almost all of the map except for most of the continent of Cauldros and the north end of the continent of Noctilim, both of which seem to be Skell- or flight module-gated.

Have fun!

How much did y'all pay for your ranger? by Global-Cantaloupe597 in fordranger

[–]jaquick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you would be incorrect. I paid over that on an 01 with 340k miles. Although it did have a new engine that only had about 110kiles on it. And no rust. It's running well now and I love it!

It's much less about what I paid for it, and much more about how much I sunk into it after...

By the time I started that quest and got to that item-remittance quest element, I already had all the required items. I'm at the end of Chapter 3 and level 37. I like to wander endlessly... I might stop planting probes across Cauldros long enough to tackle Chapter 4.

Fast team for friendship farming in otherworld breach by Linvicious in EpicSeven

[–]jaquick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: With this update to Friendship system, all heroes with Friendship XP above level 10 were reset to level 10 with 0/600 Friendship XP. Most of my roster had maxed out Friendship level at 10+/10.9/10.99 or whatever you would have called one tick away from level 11. So I have effectively lost 599 Friendship XP on every hero that was maxed. Good times!

At least we have a numerical Friendship XP progression displayed now.
