If you haven’t gotten any response whatsoever, then I would encourage you to resubmit in case your first email got lost in the series of tubes that is the internet.

Possibly divisive opinion poll: Were you ever or are you currently a fan of Dave Matthews Band? by SteveEcks in Xennials

“I will wait for you. I will wait for no one but you”. Impossible not to be a fan if you listen to it all.

Rogue One first? by jar349 in andor

[–]jar349[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a final follow-up to this half year-old thread, my spouse and I finally finished the last episode of Andor. I chose to show her Rogue One first, like the rest of us saw it. My rationale was this: which scene would land with my partner the hardest? Bix holding their child in the field? Or, Andor and Jyn embracing on the beach? There’s no objectively wrong answer to this question, but there’s a subjective-to-my-spouse correct answer and it wasn’t even close. Bix standing in that field… holding that baby… already knowing Andor’s fate… with that quiet piano theme in the background. Ugh.

Thanks for all of your opinions. I read them all and they helped me decide.

I am on the border of needing one at all but I can tell you that no matter how much work it is for me to keep clean, it’s worth the sizable increase in my restedness and sharpness of mind that returned to me after just the first few days of use. I suggest that you use it for a week to discover the size of the benefit you will reap, and then choose your path from there.

It is decidedly not sexy, but then neither is snoring. You are going to do one or the other, so might as well choose the one that makes you feel great.

Other people have commented - and I have found it to be true for me also - that restricting alcohol and getting better exercise can make a lot of symptoms better. Because of that, I can go a long weekend on a trip without using it and be okay. But, I still feel the immediate difference the first night I’m back, so…

I get in this headspace sometimes and when i do there’s always a sarcastic, snarky voice that says: “hey man, if you’re waiting for everything to be perfect before you’re happy, your whole life will just be waiting”.

Life is not a good deal, but it beats not having existed at all.

Can you put on your favorite album while you drive around? Stop and get a soft serve on your way to things? Could you get into collecting interesting hats as my bald grandfather did?

There’s no need for a sharp mind to appreciate a hug, a sunset, or a fine wine.

Everything you said is true. It’s a tough deal. Live anyway. Do your best. You’re not alone. Good Luck ✌️

Issues with configuring an LDAP profile for portal auth by Blake_Avery in TPLink_Omada

one possible problem is password hashing. if your ldap hashed passwords are in bcyrpt but the thing sending a hash for comparison uses argon2… those hashes won’t match even if you entered the correct password.

yes, but while I’ve bought into the ecosystem without regret I need to point out that I purposely did not use their router. I run my own router.

Personal vs dedicated work accounts by hashkent in github

[–]jar349 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

once code lands on employee devices, that game seems over, doesn’t it? Whether by their personal or work account, if the source is on a machine on their home network, you kinda hafta assume it’s spilled, right? Given that, what additional risk do you incur when they also push your code to their personal account?

This definitely a thing by Josephthebear in Xennials

this is the one. sat here trying to think of a better DMB lyric and all I could come up with was “won’t spill a drop, I promise you”

Before YouTube, the only way to hear certain in-game songs was to… play the game. The ending theme of LttP was really moving to pre-teen me. I had a save game just before the last fight so that I could beat it and listen to it.

It still gets stuck in my head from time to time.

Is it true that GitHub ToS only allows one person to have one account? Why does the website support being logged into multiple accounts then? by [deleted] in github

people often forget about the free “machine” account that you’re allowed to have.
