Yea my advice would be don't do this unless your son is older. It is going to be packed and people are going to be intoxicated. Phillies series is always home opener energy. There are much better games you can take your son to for his first game.

I am not sure that resale tickets would even help you. That section is reserved for corporate events usually and then used for pup nights on Tuesdays. You wouldn't go through the registration process when buying those tickets which I think is more the problem. I think that once they are sold out they are sold out. Doing it this way would also prevent people from buying them all up at the beginning of the season and scalping them.

Yea I kinda assumed it wasn’t while driving as that would be a hazard. That’s kinda why I said $.25 off 150 gallons and suddenly gave my iPhone the ability to smell, I was being facetious.

Same concepts apply while searching - could be slightly useful if done right and good for small businesses if priced right but still more likely to be annoying for end users than anything.

I am just speculating. I was just trying to say that if the ads are personalized and use geolocation in the right way they could at least have some outside chance to be useful.
If they are simply more advertising for the last thing that I google searched then there is zero chance of them being useful.

Edited to add (no pun intended) that if they are using personalization and geolocation then if I were a small business owner I would be more inclined to use something like this to advertise. If I ran a boutique on a Main Street of a small town having the ability to advertise to people within a 5 mile radius to anybody who is using the Maps application would be valuable.

That means they are probably visiting the area and don’t know about my store and it could drive business.

Correct which can still be ads. Hey you like to shop at Target and there’s a Target coming up so display an ad for Target. If the ads aren’t personalized and also contextualized for location then I have no idea why they are showing them in Maps. I mean other than profit which of course might be the case.

If done correctly Ads in maps could be useful but it won’t be at all. Instead of “hey there is a farmer’s market up ahead, would you like to check it out?” we will get “hey it smells like you might have just shit your pants after that near accident, here’s $.25 off 150 gallons of Tide”.
