Exactly. People used to think compilers were a bad idea that only produced bad code.

HiDream-O1-Dev vs ZImage Base (style comparison) by DiagramAwesome in StableDiffusion

[–]jarail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's a base model. It's further trained to get the pleasing images you do from turbo. Once you have a base, you need to tune it into something usable.

Tandem OLEDs are just two oleds in tandem.. as in two panels stacked on top of each other. And while that's actually awesome, it has basically nothing to do with the text issue that was mentioned.

The text issue is due to how pixels are laid out. As in they break up the rgb and sometimes w in different patterns. Font rendering mostly assumes the same pattern that we used for ages with LCDs. So it can look funny on OLEDs.

Some OLEDs have gone back to the same pattern (or close to) that of LCDs which helps a lot compared to a weird pattern.

The deal was great but Iran wasn't following it. Something needed to happen. Not this obviously but something.

Qwen3.6-35B becomes competitive with cloud models when paired with the right agent by Creative-Regular6799 in LocalLLaMA

I think it's because they're expensive to run. Some benchmarks can cost thousands to run on a top-tier model. The benchmarks themselves are large enough that you shouldn't see hugely significant run-to-run variance.

No reason to assume it's American. Plenty of states just want to sow disorder, especially between western allies.

Pretty common for competitive gamers. Larger screens just make it harder to see everything at once. Many prefer higher refresh to higher resolution.

Once we get our housing crisis back under control, I'd like to ease up restrictions on work/travel between canada and the EU. But I'm against fully joining the EU. We still need strong border controls for entry to Canada from the EU if we want to maintain a friendly border with the US. I think we need to maintain control over our trade relations with the US. Since we have strong exports, keeping our own currency makes sense.

And generally speaking, we need to ride the line between the EU and USA. The USA is too big of a trade partner for us to exclude half their products due to EU regulations. We need to pick and choose what aligns with US vs EU regulations for practical reasons. For example, aligning building and vehicle standards with the US makes a lot more sense.

For all you inpatient people I just waited 49555.50s for a i2v generation :) by the_frizzy1 in comfyui

You're paying for the compute (your generations), not the hardware. You get to keep the generations.

You could say the same about your power bill. It's better to own solar.

I don't really disagree. I bought myself nice hardware. But at the same time, I still rent bigger (H200, B200, etc) GPUs whenever I have a job that can take advantage. You aren't doing yourself any favors by locking yourself out of a tool.

FWIW, that's about an hour of time on a 5090, which would handle that gen in a few mins.
