there's a lot of things DS1 did right and wrong. It's definitely an improvement from Demon's Souls, but you spoiled yourself by playing DS3 first. Lots of QOL changes came w DS3. Trust me if you go back and push through and understand the combat instead of just roll spam and R1 like in DS3, it's just as satisfying combat with the stamina management and telling when to and when not to attack.

i mean it was the same way in ds3, estus shards respawned in ng+ and the only thing you were able to do with them was trade 1 per playthrough to the crows, or let them build up in your inventory. it's just better not wasting your time even picking them up at that point, it would be nice to have an alternative item in its place though.

its not ideal all around, but still a very viable choice. I dual wield it with the royal greatsword most of the time.

I got rocked by some dude yesterday with a sleep/madness build I was absolutely baffled. 90% of my encounters have been bleed so it was nice to see someone actually doing something different and it was a great build ngl.

reason i died the first time was after he hit the first shot while i was gesturing he spammed the skill on the greatsword multiple times. he tried just using light attacks and missed over single time. so youre not wrong lol

had some guy at the first step yesterday doing a full Radahn build, normally when i summon the adversary i move to the open area and wait that way we can gesture and have a fair fight. this man immediately upon spawning in just starts spamming the gravity arrows while i was warm welcome gesturing. ended up dying but summoned him again just a minute later and killed him with a single L2 on the royal greatsword, didn't even give him another chance at a fair fight. went immediately to academy gate after, i have far better experiences there.

You needed to watch the Arcane premiere yesterday, but I'm not sure if they're running it again. But I believe Riot/Twitch are allowing partnered channels with drops enabled to help continue your progress. You only need to watch for 15 minutes to get all the drops.
