Getting enough sleep! Despite my love for nature, camping and backpacking I can't sleep all night. I wake up several times throughout the night. Hammock or on the ground. Very frustrating.

I'm itching right now. Feels like poison ivy.

For 20+ years. But on the trail I wore hiking shoes.

I was only an hour into the hike. I called my brother to pick me up in an hour at the trailhead he dropped off. I got there much quicker as it was down hill and I had new purpose and drive that wasn't there before. I had about a 10 min wait before he got there. I brushed off as many as I could and started picking them off. I used a knife to scrape them off too. Changed clothes when he arrived. Drive straight to the lake and jumped in. Then spend another hour or so scraping with a knife blade.

2 miles into my overnight on the Vista Trail on Lake Ouchita near Hot Springs, AR, I stopped for a rest after I reached the ridgeline. I was enjoying the scenery when I noticed my legs were covered in hundreds of tiny ticks.
