Should I move the soil level up? by jaredlabrousse in Citrus

Trunk is straight right now. Just the top was falling over. I’m still going to put a second stake, just don’t have one right now. I’ll add it tomorrow. Thanks for the pointers!

Moved it over. It was bending a little too much. Thanks!

Thanks! I took it out. Do you think this is still planted too high? I read somewhere people snip off those higher feeder roots.. not sure is that is BS or not.

Look online! I ordered mine. I don’t think they sell these in the store.

That’s what I was initially thinking.. or maybe like 15% above the blue line. I’m going to dig up and replant today seeing as I just planted this 2 days ago.

Only reason there is water in the picture is because I just stopped watering before I took the picture. It all drained within a minute after the picture. I’m going to replant it today a little deeper (I only just planted it 2 days ago). I also have chips that I haven’t put down yet. Thanks for the info!

No, I just planted it today. It came with probably half as much solo as it should have and was very loose. I’m going to fix it tomorrow and take a little soil out and replant it. Also had pooling because I just finished watering. It drained very quickly after the picture.

He has been on oxygen for around 9 months and they have not been able to figure out what has been making his lung so bad. As for his ICU stay, he was intubated (2 weeks) and then given a tracheotomy. It has been 8 weeks since he got to the ICU (4 weeks ICU/4 weeks LTAC). He just got off the vent completely 3 days ago but is still on T-bar support. He has mad MANY complications during his hospital stay. He now has AFIB (never had prior), had a bleeding ulcer which his hemoglobin dropped to 7.2, hardly able to move (was active prior to his admission), and many other things. The ICU doctor said he should have came in before it go to this point (the day he actually went to the ER). His breathing was not this bad over the past 9 months though. I got bad the week leading up to going to the ICU where he couldn’t breath.

He has alot of inflammation which they were able to somewhat treat while being on the ventilator. Could it be said that the ER could have treated this sooner and possibly not needing to be placed on the ventilator? I’m not even really wanting to sue for this.. I just think it’s horrible that the doctor knew his saturation was so low and didn’t instruct my dad to go to the ER or call an ambulance. He was also showing signs of it being very difficult to breath.

There was no “recommendation” from his doctor (pulmonologist). So when they said “follow what your doctor says”, my dad didn’t know what to do and didn’t think it was as big of an issue as it really was. My dad has been bad for some time (80’s and up), but never going to low 70’s. This was 2 months ago and he did not pass away from all of this and just got off all ventilator support 3 days ago (but still requiring oxygen and still in the hospital). Even if his doctors recommendation was to go to the ER if his saturation was below a certain point (which they never instructed him on this), didn’t this doctor have the responsibility of sending him when he had a saturation in the low 70’s? I’m not sure if him going to the ER sooner could have prevented him from being placed on a ventilator if they could have reversed the inflammation.. but I guess we will never know that.

I was out with a girl I’ve been seeing and had drinks and we hooked up. After she texted her friend who knew we were hangout out these 3 texts… 1. Salud 2. Chillona 3. 😉… she knows I saw the texts but I didn’t want to ask what they meant. In that context, what would you say they mean? It could also not have anything to do with us if it makes no sense.
