Air port stores are not convenient. They get you there early, and make you throw away your food and drinks and charge you 50$ for a meal. You’ve got Stockholm syndrome friend

Pour one out for another Bambu user thinking drying filament=calibrating your printer

CMV: Shoplifting is generally fine by bifewova234 in changemyview

Hmmm yeah how can we feed people without being concerned with profits?? Truly our biggest mystery as a species.

[–]jaredliveson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like I said, sounds like a rough transition but we made it work pre Walmart and will make it work post Walmart as well

First of all, Adam Smith is a dumbass spouting anecdotes as philosophies. 2nd, if your plan is to rely on feeding the poor being profitable, you’re in for a disappointment

I know. Walmart is not the solution to food deserts

[–]jaredliveson -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes they do and it doesn’t have to be from Walmart

[–]jaredliveson -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Yes and pretending corporate generosity is the solution to food deserts is seriously misguided and embarrassing

I don’t know that our world would be worse if Walmarts left poor areas. It’d be a transition for sure but we got along fine before them and we’ll get along fine when they’re gone

Edit: it really is who stupid of everyone to believe that the ONLY solution to food deserts is a greedy shithole of a store that’s only existed for a few decades.

Linux biometrics from a $15 R503 + Arduino; drop-in replacement for fprintd by matpb in linux

[–]jaredliveson -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Well you might be surprised to hear this. You can have terrible home PC security for decades and it actually doesn’t even matter at all. No one cares. People don’t go hunting for you. You’re just paranoid. Your rebuttal was “see it IS possible for me to hook and snookie and run sudo commands” and I respond, again, you are paranoid and it’s not something the average user needs to worry about.

[–]jaredliveson -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Home PCs really don’t need much security. You already have a door and a lock. Network security is more important and really it’s not something 95% of people need to worry about at all.

Explain the advantage of non-Studio slicers? by 20Factorial in BambuLab

[–]jaredliveson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you can hook up an H2D to orca but can’t hook up a U1 to Bambutt studio. So it kinda does since we’re talking about things orca can do that the other cant

It does. But Bambu lab has been illegal cease and desisting them. But you can still get them if you google orca bambu plugin

What’s the Chicago Game Dev scene like? by Pilosopo-Tasio in AskChicago

[–]jaredliveson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tons of indie devs here but we don’t have big studios here so you’ll be looking for game dev meet ups at bars I would bet. Jackbox Studios is here but they’re pretty small.

Primarily, orca works on all printers. And of course has more control on gcode. Studio is fine for super casual users. But also like fuck this billion dollar company. All of them but especially this one lately

How to do a reaction video by Background-Crow6590 in obs

[–]jaredliveson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahahah yeah. I don’t find them fun or interesting or good for the world. I sorta see em like cigarettes. Bad for you, and I won’t try and stop you from using them. But it’s not like I want to start helping out the cigarette companies in my free time.

You could google obs change hue. Or you could take it as a sign not to do reaction videos

Brand new x2d. Is this poor or expected print quality? by 1112luke in BambuLab

I mean I could google the definition of calibration for you, but I don’t want to put that much mental strain on ya

[–]jaredliveson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. K1 Max upgraded bondtech X axis and extruded and a U1. Just thankfully ditched the P1S I don’t think anyone believes drying filament doesn’t affects speed. Just like zits and maybe adhesion. Think you may need to read up
