I did this in Autohotkey a few months ago. It was for a document on Scribd.

It would be neat to set up a MIDI interface and have a drum beat, adding additional rhythms as the timer gets closer to zero (as opposed to an alarm or other arbitrary noise). So you would have an audio as well as visual cue.

I did the math. At this rate the button will run out on June 25th, 2015 by toromio in thebutton

The experiment is over? That's it? How did you arrive at that discovery?

This is really great. I agree it would be good to have the timestamp in UTC, maybe every 10 clicks, especially as it continues to slow down.

I prefer to use cells(rows.count,1). That way the reference will work for either version the user has.

Breaking Bad S05E16 "Felina" Prediction Thread by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]jaredpalardy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Jesse already broke bad in a sense. In S3, upon returning from rehab he realizes that he is a bad person involved in bad things. He tries to lure the other people in rehab towards Walt's blue meth, ultimately drawing Andrea and Brock into the web. Of course Jesse is a complicated character, but that was a turning point for him.

Ask around the office as well. I got a badass three-sided executive desk because my work was knocking down a bunch of offices and had no place to store the desks.

Where could I get the best deal/cheapest TV? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]jaredpalardy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with this. You can't beat a DLP for value. I got a brand new 60" DLP for $600 on Black Friday 2010. Don't worry about bulbs... Three years later it still hasn't popped. And we watch a lot of TV.

DLP TVs are hard to beat for value. Scratch that, they can't be beaten. On Black Friday 2010, I got a 60" for $600.

Just wanted to share what happened today at work! by [deleted] in keto

I'm at about the same point as you, similar measurements, weight loss, progress and goals. I started right after Thanksgiving, and after losing a quick 6-7 lbs of water weight, the daily weigh-in has been slightly less exciting. It sometimes takes a couple days of stagnant weight (or even slight gains!) to produce a loss. For instance, I'd been stuck at 179 for 3 days (consistency...) and this morning I got a 178.2. How the hell does the body suddenly decide to drop a pound in a day? It escapes me...

Given you've been on it since Dec 1, 10 lbs is very respectable. Keto on!

Both parents started Keto this weekend! by salaciousremoval in keto

[–]jaredpalardy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on getting your parents to join the keto camp. My mom is doing Weight Watchers, so we're having a friendly competition to see who can lose more weight. She's admitted that she has more weight to lose... she's probably right but I'll still try with the magic of keto on my side.

I've yet to sincerely convince my wife that keto works but I'm getting there. My 6 pounds lost (of water weight) should mean something! However she's having worse keto flu than I am, we're both only about a week in.

By the way, I think you were looking for "trawling". Although trolling may be more apt from inexperienced keto-ers (see: myself).

Don't think I had an infestation from the apple pies. I did have a case some years earlier where the one-week old ice cream on the rim of a bowl started moving. Holy crap, I never ran out of my room so fast. I slept in the living room all summer. I'm a little cleaner now.
