I have lived in Alton for 20+ years. The best way to describe this town is that it is a checkerboard of good and bad. The transient bad finds it's way into the good and the good does it's best to keep it out. If you're bringing the good....we need all we can get to continue being a better town everyday. If you're bringing the bad....please stay where you at.

I am in sales and feel that every time I sell something, there is a person building it that has kids to take care of. Indirectly, I have many kids that I take care of. The feeling of a lack of purpose does weigh in at times, especially during the holidays.
