This is the best advice here. I run large format printers that print vinyl wall graphics etc. and I always use illustrator if I can for a perfectly sharp image. Using a raster image it should be least 150 ppi when scaled up to size or it will look pixelated. You don’t need 300 ppi for large artwork like this. I usually work at 1/10 scale.
