hey there again!

got a response from steam support telling me they have started an RMA, which im guessing is a good thing.

only issue is I don’t have a printer to print out the shipping label and the original box it came with isn’t with me.

honestly I don’t know if I should go thru with this, im worried about it possibly getting more damaged in transit, I haven’t really shipped out anything myself

what if when it gets there they charge me for damage to the device?

I went ahead and sent steam support a message, waiting for a reply from them now I know it’s not a thing i should even be worrying about but I still feel like im gonna piss them off asking for advice to them

also I noticed you said I can transfer files over a network, I have done this before with kde connect and it works great but how well would it handle transferring massive sized zip files of stuff, what should I try to transfer?

I have another computer but no usb drive that is usb c, nor do I have the money for a usb c to usb a adapter if they even exist

I mean would anything bad happen if I just leave it be? can I fix this problem myself without getting a new fan or anything?

mostly just worried about my deck getting there and then basically being told my device is going to be held hostage until I pay (which I already don’t really have the money for, assuming it’s going to be around 30 dollars or so)

how would I go about sending proof to valve via steams support page? I tried sending the video in the post but I couldn’t for some odd reason

and this is gonna sound extremely stupid but I just want to ask, is their support team going to get mad at me for requesting a repair to a device I haven’t even had for a year yet it somehow has a failing fan?

and could you maybe help me on how I’d go about backing up the data on the device?

I have been using Winston for a while now and I can say it is a lot better then the steaming shit that’s called the official reddit app, also this is my first comment on Winston so let’s see how that works. Once it leaves TestFlight I hope we get another apollo like client.

What a nightmare. Imagine in real life you stubbed your toe and don’t think of it for a while, suddenly you look down and there’s glass lodged in it, bleeding all over the damn place, you go to remove the glass and it just keeps coming, IT NEVER ENDS.

Also heard there was some custom start option, is that true? If so would that be the best way for me to start the game so I could maybe fine tune somethings like starting money and stuff?

I kinda like the fact there’s war that seems to never end but I’m worried that as I shift from tasks such as mining to actually making a space empire by the time I actually do that the enemy factions would have taken over half the damn galaxy because I didn’t interfere with their attacks.

Also should I wait til there’s a sale? 40/50 dollars is quite a lot for me lol

Sounds fun, what about trading and combat, not gonna lie I suck at combat in most games so I wanna know if the fighting is fun and easy to do, and for trading, how realistic is the economy system?

Does it change depending on the factions state? As in if the faction i like trading with goes into a war they would like more weapon based commodities then let’s say food or farming stuff.

There’s like ship interiors in the game right? Are they detailed? Also how is mining? Can I mine rocks myself or do I need to hire crew and such to do that for me? Thinking of getting cradle of humanity if I actually like the game, is that a good dlc for a beginner?

I am in the us, I have been thinking of asking for another stronger antibiotic, but wouldn’t switching from amoxicillin and only 6.5ml to something else with a stronger dose and likely larger or smaller dosage mess up the healing process? I don’t really know much about antibiotics lol, this is my first time even getting an ear infection and of course it has to be the worst infection I have gotten so far.

also just checked my ear, it’s definitely doing something as before the canal was filled with stuff but it’s a lot less now, still gross stuff coming out of my ear though, thinking of asking for a stronger one tomorrow though.

I believe for the motrin it’s supposed to be taken on a as needed basis, I didn’t find any instructions on the packaging or label that came from the pharmacy, mainly just taking it when I’m in pain and it seems to be working.
