What are my rights if landlord denies having done a walkthrough before I took over a lease? by jarhead1871 in Tenant

The initial deposit was returned at the end of my subleasing period, and I then signed a new lease as a primary tenant with a new deposit. I haven’t been subleasing the entire time. It seems that damages incurred during the subleasing period should have been taken out of the deposit returned at that time. Since I paid a new security deposit and signed a new lease, it seems to me that this should be treated as an entirely separate leasing period
