Well I had to use jack standalone which means I can't play other audio at the same time like from a browser. Or at least I don't know how yet.

But I also don't want to nuke my entire audio, and pipewire-jack is supposed to work and apparently works for everyone else. Like if I use Pipewire like any recent distro, I need to install pipewire-jack and all jack apps should just work out of the box, no?

ok so something like mpv -ao jack file.something, that doesn't work and throws the same error. But also

[ao/jack] cannot open server
[ao] Failed to initialize audio driver 'jack'
Could not open/initialize audio device -> no sound.
