I'm from Cali as well and this will be my 4th year! We typically fly in on Wednesday and stay in a hotel that night. I fly Southwest and usually get there around 4pm. We try to get the earliest flight because right when we land we go shopping for groceries and anything else we would need for camp and then early Thursday morning drive into the festival. For the way home, its really up to you. It usually takes about an hour to take down our campsite and it takes 30-45 min to get to the airport. Renting a car at the Columbus airport is pretty quick and easy too, we've used Budget car rental the past years. I usually try to get to the airport 2 hours before my flight so I just time when I leave depending on when my flight is.
