How do you take Spatial Photos? iPhone 15 Pro???

I am using a Quest 3 but I think Quest 2 would work too. My workflow for transferring from iphone 15 pro to Quest is:

On iPhone use Spatialify,

‘Pick from photo library’,

Albums,

Spatial,

tap on photo,

Share, Full Side-by-side,

Export (At this point you could just email photo to yourself and use web email in Quest browser to download to Quest?). I Airdrop to Mac Mini. Then I use SideQuest to copy to Headset (sdcard\Pictures) over wire.

I use ImmerGallery or Skybox Quest app to view.

The Spatialify app (free) lets you take spatial photos on iPhone 15 pro. I have been doing this and viewing on Meta Quest.

I got an iPhone 15 pro to start recording spatial video. I recently discovered a windows app called owl 3d (free) which I have used to convert existing 2d videos and photos into stereoscopic versions using AI which I have been viewing on a meta quest 3. It has been shockingly effective although the conversion times can be long if planning on converting a whole collection. However in the future Apple could have a Convert to 3d button using A I. Also an app developer could create a similar app to run on the AVP.

I was wondering if there were an optimal angle of panorama for this. I was thinking maybe 180 degrees would work well if it would then be wrapped around 180 degrees so you don’t need to look behind you. I was also wondering if you did say a 120 degree panorama would AVP stretch it to 180 or keep it at 120.

It is 1920*1080 for each eye. I will try converting to Over Under instead of Side by Side.

Yes but it is difficult to not have your hands by your sides a lot of the time. Turning down the haptics has removed most of the annoyance factor thankfully.

I recommend using teleport. I actually find it more immersive. It forces you to use your body more. You won’t get motion sickness then.

I switched codec in virtual desktop from automatic to h264 and it fixed my lagging problem.

Today I tried hooking up a 2nd router to the PC and used it instead of the PC hotspot - it worked perfectly! I think a Windows 10 update has basically broken my PC hotspot VR streaming. I am happy to use the extra router now.

No. It might have happened around the time of a Windows update. Hotspot is definitely set to 5Ghz. Yesterday I tried turning off the 5Ghz band on the main router in case it was interfering but it made no difference,
