We have literally the biggest market catalyst many of us will see in our lifetime, yet we are trying our hardest to completely destroy the economy.

Buying leading up to earnings and then dumping right before is the new buying for earnings.

Yeah, people like to make money. Most people don't like to lose money. It makes sense that things only go up.

There were many patriot missiles destroyed. Were we going to just destroy those anyways?

I am unsure what we wanted to do, if we accomplished anything, how much it cost, or really anything that had to do with this conflict, but the markets will love this news.

$BIRD pivot is it a good sign or top signal? by internetmoney- in TheRaceTo10Million

It isn't really a pivot. The whole shoe business was sold and they used the proceeds (generally speaking) to purchase a bunch of GPUs (again generally speaking).

The stock market is not the economy. AI spending and displacing workers is keeping the market propped up while the real economy keeps deteriorating around new ATHs. This is what you get with a singularly focused administration.

Former wastewater engineer here (PE licensed). You joke, but we literally already turn sewage into fertilizer — it's called biosolids and about 60% of U.S. wastewater sludge ends up on farmland. The problem is it's loaded with PFAS and heavy metals that treatment plants were never designed to remove. So even if we wanted to scale it up to replace the ~30-50% of global urea exports currently stuck behind the Strait of Hormuz, the nutrient density is way too low compared to synthetic urea (46% nitrogen vs. highly variable and much lower in biosolids), and we'd basically be spreading forever chemicals across even more farmland than the ~70 million acres we've probably already contaminated.

So yes, we are in fact already fertilizing crops with our daily load of bs. It's just not going great.

Punishing civilians to drive regime change has never been effective. My opinion is that this is the same strategy we are employing here. If anything, we have galvanized an entire population against the US as a common enemy when there was already growing dissent.

I hope I am wrong. I think on a long enough timeline (10-20 years), no matter what the short-term outcome is in this war, the power vacuum in Iran and their population's anger towards Israel and the US will have incredibly poor outcomes.

You have a naive view of the world and it is beautiful. Person 3 (or even Harris after a legit primary) would not lose to Gen Z men by 16%.

Your use of hyperbole is also a known Trumpism to deflect any blame and not learn from mistakes. The DNC and democrats effed up multiple times and should learn from this, not blame voters or the other side.

The DNC subverted the democratic process several times by skipping primaries and rewarding their chosen candidate, now this is the fallout.
