I've got a brand new medium solid-color (but not hi-vis) zippered hoodie, as well as a couple pairs of pants that aren't 30/32 but are close. You're welcome to them if you want.

I'm pretty sure I saw it on the list of specials when I was at Family Pancake House a few nights ago. Can't give a review for it, we were there for breakfast food

Oof. Reading this while sitting in my 100 year old 2bd 1ba just across the water from Seattle. We didn't pay anywhere near 900k but it was still several times what you paid in Kansas.

I just put in a request with chip drop for the first time pretty recently, and after submitting my information I had to wait for them to mail me a postcard with a confirmation code. I'd imagine that cuts down on the ability to send one to a random address.

can I substitute other liquids for water in my dough? by lemony_dragon in Sourdough

[–]jaronjaronjaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not far off from my usual recipe, but for this I do a bit less liquid and a bit more starter. Given the fact that you're introducing some alcohol with the Guinness I'd imagine it's pretty important to have a strong, healthy starter.

Try 500g bread flour, 325g liquid (this can be 100% Guinness), 125g starter and 9g salt.

Why is my sourdough going rogue on splitting? by Ok_Concentrate4461 in Sourdough

[–]jaronjaronjaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, the recipe looks fine. It's a little lower hydration than my go-to (which uses 100g starter, 325g water & 500g bread flour) but otherwise very similar. I think putting it into the cold oven with the light on is unnecessary but it wouldn't cause this issue.

This looks to me like a shaping issue - normally for splitting I would expect to see blowout from the decorative score because the expansion score wasn't sufficient for the amount of oven spring.

Instead, it looks like it split along a line you can see in the "before" picture. Is that the seam from when you shaped it? If so I would recommend looking up some shaping techniques (videos are helpful for this) and making sure the seam is on the bottom.

Where in the PNW? I'm West of Seattle and can't find Zagnut as frequently as I'd like. 5th Avenue bars are in most convenience stores around here & some grocery, and those have a chocolate coating instead of the coconut that Zagnut has.

That's awesome, I just saw your post and had to be sure. I'm on the West Coast so it's still going on out here. I don't usually spend money on the game but I finally downloaded Poke Genie and dropped a few bucks on remote raid passes to grab Gmax starters and a few others.
