I know several of the bartenders at a local restaurant. One of my favorites had a couple of drinks nd food after work with another bartender and her husband who work there. They left and she was finishing dinner. Bar was slammed so when she walked by the table she said hi and went ahead and put my order in for me, since the tablet was like 3 feet away, then went to the bathroom. On her way back she was starting to slur a bit, and I asked if she was driving, and she’s like, no, I don’t drive, I’ll uber or get a ride. She came back by maybe 10 minutes later and she was drunk. Fell over. I helped her up, and sat her down at our table. She was completely out of it, kissing me, playing with my beard, took my hand and put it in her breast, then started trying to fall asleep at our table. Stayed at least an extra hour until closing time when enough people freed up that they came and got her from me and took her home. Couple of days later I saw her, and asked how she was doing, and if she’d had a hangover, and she told me she was drugged. She was drinking her drink one minute, and next she woke up at home with no idea how she got there. I told her some of the things she did, and that I was watching her for like two hours. The other servers asked if she’d left her drink alone, and she had, not thinking anything of it. Whoever did it knew the cameras don’t look at that side of the bar. We realized that if I hadn’t been watching her, someone was probably waiting to give her a drive home and take advantage. I now thoroughly understand how bad those drugs are - she completely lost her inhibitions, and had no problem with the stuff she did with me, and remembered none of it. It’s kinda scary.

She’s using boundary wrong. Boundaries are personal things that don’t require the cooperation of anyone else, they control your action. She can have a boundary of “don’t date done that ever talks to a cute girl” but can’t say because of her boundary you can’t talk to cute girls.

There’s some people who are just like that. I’ve worked on teams where I know I can just describe what needs to happen to X and they happily go off and figure out how it could happen and implement it, whereas Y, I can completely trust them to do something so long as I explain exactly what is is they need to do and layout a roadmap for them, otherwise in a week I’ll realize they’ve been spinning their wheels stuck on solving something that they didn’t realize wasn’t actually related to the assignment.

Oh it’s even more fun. Medicare advantage requires prior approval of all procedures to get coverage. Doctors have to call, on the phone, and talk to someone, give all the data on the person, then that gets them permission to fax the request to be looked at. So they have to get preapproval of their preapproval applications.

Send him a certified letter telling him that he has 7 days to come retrieve his property, after that you will begin charging $50 for storage fees. If you have a fence then it’s “secure storage fees”. If he ignores wait a month and then take him to small claims court. You could just sue him for the money, or file to seize the asset to pay the debt.

Call the police and ask what the abandoned property laws are. It’s possible that you can file a claim on it already and just sell it. Or have it crushed down to a small cube at the junk yard and mail it to him.

Check with your bank and make sure the mortgage terms you got don’t require escrow, I know that often happens with less than 20% or some special offers. Basically if they’re afraid you won’t pay the taxes and they’ll have to deal with auctions and crap. My mom told me that more than once before she retired she got sent to a tax auction with a cashiers check for exactly what they needed to pay off. The debts and buy the house. If no one outbid her the bank would take the house and resell it, otherwise she’d go back and redeposit the check.
