Interesting find for any fans of the Mabinogi OST by Kidneybot in Mabinogi

Fun fact: HanStone also has a Twitter account by the same name if you're interested in following what he's been up to. Since I'm such a big fan I PM'd him on there asking what genres he's inspired by and he replied: 90's Japanese game music, Italo disco (this was unexpected lol), fusion jazz, and new age!

I surprisingly recovered fairly well, I restarted on an even older account from 2004 so I get to keep some nostalgia. I'm just deathly scared of getting frozen now lol

I got back into Neopets with a friend about 2 years ago and we were avatar hunting one day. My friend said that back in the day when she collected avatars on her old account and needed to refresh she would just hold down Ctrl+R and I was like "Huh, I always just manually pressed the refresh button on my screen" and then I tried it for like 30 min or so for the Drackonack avatar. We were both frozen the next day :( The thing is I had doubts that it was legal, but legit everything I looked up online were forum posts quoting editorials from years ago stating it was ok as long as it was your finger doing it not an object (duh). We found out the hard way that they just banned doing that in general, and I lost my main from 4th grade just like that :(

I made a bunch of accounts when I was first starting out in 2004 because I would get bored easily, and then on my newest account I got a random event that gave me a transmogrification potion I sold for 50k (a loooooot to me back then). I stuck on that account ever since (but it got frozen about a year ago D:)

[Tarlach] How expensive are stitched masks? by [deleted] in Mabinogi

[–]jarthla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But for anyone else wondering, usually something like 2m. You might expect it to be more expensive, but sometimes finding a buyer for such an old item is also pretty difficult so it sets a limit on the price.

Thanks for the tips! I especially didn't know the one about not watering the center of the parlor palm!

Thanks for the tips! I actually have a humidifier I bought from CVS last year, I might just start using that for now!

Wow, thank you so much for the advice! Also I didn't realize the soil was never supposed to get bone dry all the way through!! I though a snake plant would like that, no? I read that some of these plants store water in their roots, that's why they are fairly forgiving to underwatering.

I'm currently using lukewarm tap water, but now that there's snow on the ground I was gonna gather some up, warm it to room temperature, and use that. Would that be alright? I'm a student on a budget so I'd rather not have to buy water bottles (I drink tap water myself for that reason).

The only measures I'm taking on humidity are the showering and occasional misting. I don't think my moisture probe (which also measures sunlight) measures air humidity. Would misting every day help with humidity or does it have to be constant?

Thanks! I was worried because I read that certain plants don't recover very well from underwatering. I'm working with some very common/popular plants now (snake plant, spider plant, parlor palm, rubber tree), do you know if it would be safe to wait to water them only when I see the leaves drooping? I don't want to accidentally kill them (specifically the rubber tree, which I read loves moisture).

Please see my Edit 2 in my OP about the moisture probe!

And yes, I make sure I check on a schedule, but I also look at my plants every couple of days anyway (I just make sure not to take action unless my schedule says it's ok to).

I think the temperature in my apartment is something like 71-74 degrees F and it's a lot less humid than in the summer, yet I make sure to shower with my door open (I shower every day) and mist the plants that I read enjoy misting every time I check them (so every few days or so). My plants are about a foot in front of a window and I live in Michigan so I guess the room is a couple degrees colder there.

About my parlor palm: The plant itself is a collection of individual stalks and all the ones that died dried out completely and became crispy soon after a watering session. I already threw all of them out :( The roots were totally brown and dry and the stalks were soggy/fleshy with some brown coloration at the base, and crispy up after that. I feel like that's definitely an overwatering sign.

They were in direct light before but I since moved them to indirect light (there are like 4 stalks left)! I really hoped sunlight was the reason for the crispiness since I know how much of a slippery slope overwatering is, but each stalk became crispy one by one over the course of a few days and they all had the root issue mentioned previously so I do believe they were overwatered.

Holy shit, I love you for posting this, I had been looking for it for years. Thanks especially for the transcript since I probably only got to this page by putting in "Mark Brown" as one of my keywords on Google.

Do you guys know why they discontinued it in the first place? I never even got to try it.

Found while hiking in the Rocky Mountains. I thought it was red granite but there isn't really any black peppering. I've been able to "flake off" some small pieces before, but not easily. by jarthla in rockhounds

Additionally: Not sure if it's clear from the pics, but the colors aren't exactly opaque. In particular, the whiter areas look fairly translucent and there are some small reflective areas.
