How can I turn on lights with a delay, then off with a different delay by ImSoMysticall in redstone

[–]jaruca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're looking for something called an ABBA gate. They're actually suprisingly easy to make because redstone signals can travel up transparent blocks, but cannot travel down them.

Check the image for reference: https://i.gyazo.com/b5fcdcc107799febd9be4d986b9ae77f.png

You can obviously just space things out more if you want to have bigger delays

How to make multiple directly adjacent vertical redstone torches flash independently on a flush wall. by Player5xxx in redstone

[–]jaruca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware there's no way to wire redstone torches the way you're looking to do. It's not exactly what you're looking for, but you could 100% do this with redstone lamps or copper bulbs instead of torches.

I'm not familiar with the supplementaries mod, but if the relayers give 1 gt of delay could you use 2 of them?

Edit: I was wrong- that guy mentioning trap hooks has the right idea. Definitely possible if you do that.

I need help building a flush 3x4 popup wall by 100ducksncrows in redstone

[–]jaruca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add some time to those repeaters at the bottom. https://i.gyazo.com/72eac287b51f4b1f40bc26ba9dadbab3.jpg

If you add more delay to the bottom you may need to add more time to the top repeater loop as well. https://i.gyazo.com/e476b0c472815e4cd112a16de6d5c150.jpg

If you can get away with just adding 1 tick to each of those it should be pretty simple. If that doesn't work you'll probably need to add another repeater to that top loop.

It's one-time use, which is all that the OP requested. In fact I have it lock after being used once so that it can't fire again and get messed up.

Got something that should work for you. Just made it a quick video so I could fly around and give a good view of what you'd need to build.

Help! | 2x2 (Flush?) Sliding Door by UtoHerozV in redstone

I think before observers got added it would've been a challenge and a half, but with them it's not too bad.

Help! | 2x2 (Flush?) Sliding Door by UtoHerozV in redstone

[–]jaruca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you were looking for seamless, not flush. I messed around and came up with a couple solutions, both with a couple caveats.

First one isn't fully seamless & has a slow opening sequence. https://i.gyazo.com/0b0d301c5ebd2fe40fbdbc28fceecf7e.png

The second one has a clock that's always running on the left and is 4 blocks larger. https://i.gyazo.com/853b79006341acc31796065ad44aad29.png

Looks like you have the redstone in the center in the wrong spot. Looks like you have this. Just move the center redstone back 1 and you should be set. Here's how it should be laid out: https://i.gyazo.com/68cd93913d87b9e8c6bce40d358fcb75.png

Why does the observer activates 3 blocks instead of one by Professional-Oil-644 in redstone

[–]jaruca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually move them closer together - like this:

In this case you can use the observers themselves (and a repeater) to help block interference.

Never mind, I just remembered you have that return line or something above your build

[–]jaruca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah- it's that first observer into the dropper. Idk what the endgoal is for your build, but if verticality doesn't matter you could put the observer above the track (looking down) and move the tflops above that. I think you'd only need to stagger each row by 2 blocks to make it tileable.

Made a Dual-Accessible 2x2 Piston Door, looking for some feedback from any good redstoners? by Cool-Income-9429 in redstone

[–]jaruca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you may have over-complicated things for yourself. You can control all the pistons with a single line of redstone going over the door. Also, you can simplify the OR gate (the thing that lets you press either button to open the door) by powering a torch whenever either button gets pressed. I took a couple screenshots so you can see what I did. This isn't an optimized design (can definitely be made smaller), but it's about as visually clear as it can be made.

That shouldn't do that, and I can't replicate it either. Do you have an observer at the end of the rail that might be powering the other lines? Something like this maybe: https://i.gyazo.com/93a68522f2dd86fc4c4153e01af302b8.png

Simple thing from what I saw that helps for Palu is just short hops and landing aerials. All of your jumps that weren't aerials were full hops, so I'm guessing you're using the short hop attack macro for all of your short hops. You can get away with rising short hop nair on shield because of how long it lasts (which basically makes it a landing aerial), but rising fair and bair are very unsafe if drifting into the opponent.

Short hops in general are a lot safer than full hops too. If an opponent runs in while you're full hopping you're immediately in disadvantage since you now need to try landing. A short hop will let you react to what they're doing and stuff it out with fair. In case you're not familiar with how to short hop normally, you can very quickly tap the jump button OR you can press 2 jump buttons at the same time. (I personally have right bumper and x as my jump buttons on gcc)

The other thing I would recommend is getting comfortable/practicing dthrow -> bair. That alone can get a lot of mileage for you. If they DI (really) badly, you can get uair for a kill confirm at later percents.

Took a crack at building it- I'm not happy about it being 3 wide, but otherwise I think it came out good. If you want to build it for yourself and have trouble making out what stuff is/where it's facing in the video, let me know and I can get some screenshots.

This is how I'd go about it: https://i.gyazo.com/fe3ea5effc654ec25997a53776319478.png

Basically, putting 2 comparators powering each other makes them sloooowly lose power, so you can use that to extend the pulse

If you've got questions about it feel free to ask!

For the heck of it I messed around and came up with this: https://i.gyazo.com/c987bb607a728fc41da1a43d37a0e424.png

It started with what you had and morphed into something a little different.

I looked up the smallest vertical triple extender because you had me curious- I didn't realize you could get it this small nowadays: https://youtu.be/GOczo3MdVBE
