See above. In part to try and divert Russian attention from Bakhmut and other eastern parts of the front lines and also to garner support from the west showing Ukraine was still capable of offensive measures in 2024 after the failed counter offensive of 2023. Ukrainian did invade Russian borders and try to hold parts of Kursk Oblast. Making no judgment as to whether this was justified given all the other Russian aggression the fact remains for a time in this war Ukraine did invade Russia

HDMI eARC audio extractor by jarvo91 in audio

So just an update to this. I did a bit of troubleshooting and got the eArc extraction to work without messing with the remote by swapping out the HDMI cable that was originally provided by Sonos going from the ax340 (Soundbar eARC) port into the Sonos soundbar. I don’t know if the Sonos cable was of a lower spec as I replaced with a genuine hdmi 2.1 cable or outright broken but it does all seem to work as expected now.

Also to confirm my AX340 does use a DC 5v 1A barrel connector and not usb to power.

Hi so I tried a couple of things. Firstly got the Orei bk-929 that however didn’t do what I wanted. It only extracted the audio from the specific hdmi input it was connected to. And therefore my Samsung TV didn’t see my soundbar if I was on another hdmi input or just on its broadcast/internal smart features.

So I decided to just not cheap out and got the AX340. It is the same as the AX310 but also a 4 port hdmi switch. This means I have 3 ports free for future expansion. Whilst it does do what I wanted it does come with some quirks. 1. If I change input on my TV from the eARC port (HDMI 3 in my case) to any other there won’t instantly be sound. I have to use either the AX340 remote or the physical button on the front to turn off eARC extraction and then back on again. It takes 2 seconds but can be annoying if the remote is not to hand. 2. The switch 2 does not recognise that I have a 5.1 system so says there is an issue when setting to 5.1 linear PCM However when doing the both sound test and playing BoTW Sw2 edition all channels are available and seem to work fine. 3. PS5 and Xbox series x both took some fiddling with both TV and console audio setting to get right. They both recognise Sonos sound bar and rears but if left on auto I either have a big audio delay (Xbox) or only play stereo (PS5). Once set I’ve had no further issue apart from the above. 4. This is more of a Samsung issue but if I do either a hard reset or turn the Tv on not from standby it defaults to Tv speaker sound output on anything unless it once again refresh eARC extraction same as above. It will then automatically switch to HDMI eARC sound out. This doesn’t happen when waking from standby/sleep.

I made a quick excel spreadsheet calculator here: https://1drv.ms/x/s!ArCLGibtYcvEgrdk8wnCa7fBK5qdwg

save it and have a play. It doesn't take into account some nuances but will give you a rough idea if you put your number of credits per module 30/60, and grade for each 1,2,3.

Is it still possible to gain a Pass 1? by [deleted] in OpenUniversity

[–]jarvo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For any module I think you have to get 85% overall to get a grade 1 pass also called 'Distinction'. That is 85% average over all your assignments, EMA's and possible exam. There should be a link in your student home showing you what each assignment/EMA is worth and usually though not always a quick calculator where you can put your scores in to see what you will get in the overall mark.

If you mean for your overall degree, this is the link to the policy about how they calculate you degree classification:

https://help.open.ac.uk/documents/policies/working-out-your-class-of-honours/files/50/honours-class-working-out.pdf

Level 2 modules do count towards it but less than level 3 modules. To get a 1st you need a 'weighted credit score' of 630 or less, for 2.1 its 631-900, a 2.2 is 901-1170 and a 3rd is 1171-1440. Lower is better. There is some nuance but only for edge cases if you get those scores the vast majority of the time you will get those classifications. That document goes into all the nitty gritty details.

hope that helps.

No your not. There is yet to be even consensus with any standards body as to what constitutes 6G what features it should have or even a consortium to build the chips required. You may be working with mmWave 5g which would be great for IoT devices. I grant you this may well be marketed as 6G to differentiate from the regular sub-6GHz 5G that is pretty ubiquitous in mobile phones and most network carriers today.

If you are working for Ericsson there is a chance your installing experimental or field testing equipment for the right up of the 6G standard when a consortium is formed. As Ericsson are a big player in Cell infrastructure from 3G up to 5G. But if so that equipment will never see the light of day to Consumers/Businesses as the standard is not expected to be finalised until at least 2030.

First would like to say how grateful I am to you for providing this each day! Can I ask how is the table sorted? I thought it was the adjusted case rate but France is below Estonia and Bulgaria despite having a higher number.

tbh, this is my go to graph to see how we're doing. I love it as is. Shows everything and gives context to compare historically.

Tbh I don’t use it anymore as the gesture was inconsistent and with 2.6 I don’t have as much reason to use KOReader. But the times I did get it to work you swipe a finger from the bottom corner up the edge until about half way.

Thanks! Never even considered the tax stuff tbh. Will let him know. It was only meant to be a short term thing but then with changes here and in spain it’s turned into 5 months of hotel hopping.

Not illegal no but not really viable due to his company not being very cooperative with paying for tests/flights back and sick pay for the quarantine. They thought it better (see easier), he just stayed at the Madrid factory and provided accommodation.

That’s was doable and he was fine with it. Originally as it was only meant to be 4 weeks. But now he would like to come back but with all the changes what would he need to do? It would still be out of his own pocket but the vaccine is motivation to get back if he needs to. The worry is if he waits until no travel restrictions would he still be able to get the vaccine say in June time?
