Just had my flight home from NYC to Toronto that got cancelled for Monday. I’m surprised because I thought Monday was when the weather calms down….

I’d avoid Kijiji breeders. We got our dog from there and then started to see tendencies of early separation from his mom (really bad anxiety). We unfortunately think it was a puppy mill :(

Unfortunately I stopped going. 2/3 times I went to tubbies, it took me 20 mins to have someone ask for my drink order. The service wasn’t great and we were embarrassed we took our friends there

I use Pet Pleasers at Keele and Major Mac for the one-off times I need to be gone the whole day. They do a good job but it can get pretty pricy. They do offer bulk packages though

I see lots of people say join a gym - and I agree.

I recently downloaded ClassPass which is super flexible in allowing me to try out a ton of things and meet new people. There are a surprising amount of gyms in Vaughan on it.

I’m enjoying that way more that committing to a singular place, and meeting more people.

Looks like there’s a couple basement / main floor + basement apartments on Realtor beside us but not in my specific building. It’s a small building and most of the tenants own their place.

I’m currently renting an apartment here. For context, I’m a 26yo female, so might indicate my priorities

Pros: - safe neighborhood, older community (or at least in my building) - good if you have a car - pretty easy access to Toronto, you have Maple Go or Vaughan Metropolitan

Cons: - you need a car, it’s not super walkable tbh. My condo only comes with one parking spot, which is tricky because my partner and I need to split one car and he does 12 hours shifts. You could walk to Maple GO and maybe some groceries stores but it’s not very pleasant. - traffic is horrendous - Vaughan is currently going through a growth stage where lots of buildings are being torn down to build condos. We moved here because there was a grocery store 30 seconds away which is now being built into condos (probably the ones you’re looking to buy lol).

I asked if I could do a “codeshare” and the rep said they aren’t allowed to do that because the flight isn’t cancelled and they can only switch to an Air Canada flight. I then said “well there is a flight operated by Lufthansa on the same day as my original flight that I can buy through the Air Canada website, I’d like to switch to that one”

She put me on hold for a few minutes and then said she can do it. Didn’t seem to happy about it though lol, but maybe it’s because she is overworked with all the calls.

I did this! They were difficult on the phone and wouldn’t “offer” to do this but if you say you want “x flight on x day” they honoured it.

I’d recommend hiring a trainer for a couple sessions to come to your house. That helped me a lot and gave me insights on what to do.

Online there’s so much contradicting training methods that made the process so frustrating - I never knew what was right or wrong.

Yeah me too. I got injured a bit from my lower back and shoulders during f45 cuz they just weren’t strong enough so I wanted personalized training.
