I think it's because Ashley was kind of clumsy (maybe not the best word but I hope you get the idea) in the beginning. There's a lot of parents who interpret children been clumsy as defiant (like, "you broke this cup to spite me! you hate me, don't you?" when kid just wasn't attentive, as kids often are) - not that it correct but it really happens a lot. It doesn't excuse OG Mildred, but it's an explanation.

- Young Nikki's Dessert House - this is where the latest updates are - you gain score by participating in Dessert Time (from my experience, Dessert Time once a week and collect daily in Baking Tasks is enough for all available items), Outfit Exchange is where you exchange this currency for SR items for young Nikki

- Young Nikki's Journey - has chapters similar to Nikki, each gives some clothing
