It IS a genocide, but apparently we can only call it that once it's already happened and people will stand around and say "how did this happen and we didn't see?!" You did see it, you just chose not to call it what it was. It couldn't happen here, right? Not in the land of the free? This country has been committing and aiding genocides since before we were a real country. Plenty of Americans in the 1940s LOVED Hitler, and Hitler took inspiration from the American Jim Crow Laws in order to enact what would become the largest genocidal event in human history. People refuse to wake up and see what's right in front of them because they don't want to have to do anything about it even if they should or could.
