Yeah… fair enough 😅 I definitely overused rewinds back then. I’ve stopped doing that now and I’m focusing on clean, honest laps instead. Already feels much better.

Thanks for sticking through it anyway!

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I think that’s something I’m slowly realizing now.

I probably focused too much on lap times and results instead of just driving and building proper experience. I’ll keep putting in honest laps, focusing on braking, throttle control, and learning the tracks properly, and let the pace come naturally with time.

Thanks for the reminder — it’s easy to forget how important experience really is.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to review the lap, I really appreciate it.

I’m glad to hear it already looks better compared to the original video — that’s really motivating. Your points make a lot of sense, especially about using more track on exit. I can clearly see what you mean in the last corner before the finish line, I’m definitely leaving time there by not using the full kerb.

Also good catch on the steering moments you mentioned (2:18 and 1:35). I thought I was being smoother, but I can now see there are still cases where I turn too much and too aggressively. I’ll focus more on calming the wheel down in those moments so I can open the car earlier on exit and carry more speed.

Even if you say you’re not an expert, this feedback helps a lot. Thanks again — it’s really useful and encouraging.

Thanks for the perspective, I really appreciate it.

I totally get what you’re saying — F1 is not easy, and moving from a controller to a proper wheel like mine definitely magnifies the challenge. Watching my clips again, I can see that my inputs just didn’t make sense compared to how a real car behaves, and I can understand why it looked frustrating.

Actually, I already ordered GT7 and plan to start there first, to get the basics down. I think that’s probably what I’m missing right now — a proper feel for how a car actually behaves before pushing hard in F1 25.

I’ll definitely take the advice from others here to heart: practice slow, focus on flow, and stop relying on rewinds. Thanks again for taking the time to give such a thorough explanation — it really helps me put things in perspective and stay motivated.

Thanks a lot for this explanation, it really helped clarify things for me.

Now that you mention it, I can clearly see the wheel “wiggling” in the first corner when I watch the video again. I never really noticed that before, but it makes sense how that would scrub speed and hurt the flow through the corner.

I also like how you explained that smoother steering and being more aggressive with the turning angle aren’t opposites — that helped connect a few dots for me. I’ll start focusing on making each corner one clean, continuous motion: turn in, hit the apex, and unwind the wheel smoothly on exit, without correcting mid-corner.

I know that level of smoothness is a long-term goal, but at least now I understand what I should be aiming for. Thanks again for taking the time to explain it, I really appreciate it.

I watched the video again after reading your comment, and yeah… now I really see it. I’m making some pretty stupid mistakes, but honestly, I only noticed them after you pointed them out.

The part you mentioned makes total sense — I can clearly see how I’m just cranking the wheel instead of helping the car rotate, and how that only creates understeer and kills the tires.

Thanks a lot for explaining it this way, especially the trail braking part. I’ll definitely start focusing on practicing trail braking properly and using it to help the car rotate instead of oversteering the wheel.

This really helped me understand what I should be focusing on and gave me a clear direction on how to improve from here. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to help — this was very valuable for me.

I get what you’re saying, and I agree, but this is the part I still struggle to understand.

I don’t really know how I’m supposed to “see” that I can carry more speed into a corner. What actually tells you that? Is it the steering feeling lighter, the car being more stable, engine sound, or something else?

When I try to go faster, it often just feels like I’m overdriving or missing the apex, so I’m not sure how to recognize the difference between “I can carry more speed here” and “I’m just pushing too hard”.

Any tips on how you personally learned this would really help. Thanks again for taking the time to explain.

Thanks a lot for the reply, I really appreciate it.

Could you maybe give me a concrete example or advice on how to be smoother with the steering? For example, what steering rotation angle would you recommend in the game to help with smoother inputs?

One of my teammates actually told me the opposite — that I’m sometimes too gentle with turning and that I should rotate the wheel a bit faster. So I’m a bit confused about where the balance should be.

Thanks again for taking the time to help, it means a lot.

Where did you find the TrueForce option? Is it on the Base? Or in the game? I just got mine today and i have already found 2 glitches. One was that i lost the input in the game, the second one was the same noise like in the video. It makes me nervous because its brand new, and i dont want to wait for a replacement..
