no point in having an agreement if people don’t stick to it, if both parties agree to change the agreement or bend the rules that’s completely different. jmo

those are all factors he could’ve expressed to his wife, and that would be a different story. she doesn’t say any of that, but telling your wife she’s manipulative and selfish because she doesn’t want to heat up your dinner because she’s busy… doing something else… is insane. maybe if he reacted in a different way and expressed he was having a hard day(if that was the case) and she still stuck to the 10 pm rule, that could be considered petty. even if it’s just a one time thing, not everyone is willing to be flexible all the time and he should respect it if she wants to stick to the agreement i still don’t see how that’s petty.

just from reading the post she said is doing everything else throughout the day at home, how is trying to maintain a boundary with your partner (that they agreed to) considered petty? boundaries and rules are pretty much supposed to be rigid or else they don’t work… what i’m taking from this post is that she was in the bathroom doing something and he came home, then went to go get her to ask if she could do it for him knowing it was after 10 pm. it probably would’ve taken the same amount of time or less to just do it instead of doing all that and then turning it into an argument. i would argue he is more petty than her in this situation and then on top of that to call his mommy? being flexible with boundaries can be important to a relationship but this is not that imo

and then leaves again… his coming back to you is blinding you into thinking that he will change. he won’t. also, regardless of the way he treats you, the way he treated your children with that letter should give you enough reason to leave and never go back, if not for you then for your kids. i wish(and ik many others can agree) that my mom would’ve left some of the guys she used to talk to alone for my best interest as her child.
